You didn't ask for proof. You asked how I knew.Your 'proof' is one book written by some nobody?
Well done![]()
Books are widely available. Even the history of Africans in Tudor Britain is in a book if you'd want to read it.
I like books.

The Dickhead Tribe of Mesopotamia were my favourite.

That's the same ****ing thing you absolute ****wit. How do you know that there were barely any black people that long ago?
I'm not saying it was a 50/50, it was probably quite rare, but you seem to be so sure about it I was intrigued as to how.
Turns out you 'read a book'.

Scroll back, click the link to the Blackamoor tour of Tudor London. Chappie says evidence has been found in parish records proving beyond doubt that Africans were abundant at the time. Reckons 1 in 20 were black in Tudor London.
Tudor London had 500,000 people living here, using his logic that means there were 25,000 Africans in London at the time and it isn't correct that they were all slaves, servants or sailors. I'll leave it up to you to find any documented evidence that there were black people in such numbers. London was a huge city for the time and there would have been people here from all over the world but you don't get anyone from China claiming any similar heritage.
Knowledge, belief, thought and proof are not always the same thing. Can you find proof I'm wrong?

You made the claim. The burden of proof lies on your side.

Surprise surprise, another Toby swerve.
You just cannot be ar.sed backing anything up can you? Not really a surprise though is it as the thought of you actually doing anything other than sitting under the bridge sniping is a bit much.
There are bound to be things you know that I don't, it is a given and absolutely acceptable. If you wanted to go on about computers, programmes, software etc I'd be perfectly happy to give you the nod. If you wanted to tell everyone where to get the best pizza I'd bow to your superior knowledge much in the same way as offering tips on how to get high.
Maybe that could be your next multi-page thread? Toby Tips - Computers, Pizza and Drugs. I wouldn't ask you to prove anything at all.

How is that a swerve? I already said my thoughts on the topic.
'Another Toby swerve'? Please point me to a single swerve I've made on any topic.
Take your time

Erm, your post 23? Didn't take long.

What's your source for Syrian Legionaries being black?

*coloured.
Wasn't just about black people. Was just trying to make the point that England hasn't been pure white for a while
Why are you bothering? I'm just going to make you look stupid for the 256543247873th time![]()
It was a simple question about "sources", I'm guessing you read about it in a book?
I only asked because I'm interested in military history and I've never seen any references to black men/*******s in the Roman legions is all.
ps Rome isn't England.
