Actually it's been much less mproved in that front recently.
One of my business accounts is gmail and that is excellent.

Not for mine it hasn't. Even changing the password gave my little more than two weeks reprieve before all the bingo and BitCoin spam came flooding back.

The amount of spam I've had on Gmail in three or so years? One dodgy-looking G+ request, and that was it.
 
I see Kane is the only England player named in the 55 man shortlist - and Bale the only other Brit. Other Prem players include Romelu Lukaku, Antonio Valencia, Paul Pogba, David de Gea, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Nemanja Matic from Utd, Eden Hazard, N'Golo Kante and David Luiz from Chelsea, and, of course, Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal. Coutinho is the final nominee. Proof positive that these are done by reputation alone. Ozil has been poor for a while now, Pogba nothing out of the ordinary and Matic getting the nod on the basis of 6 games for Utd, was poor last year and lost his place.

It is voted for by professional footballers, but you do question whether they have been watching some of the players they've nominated.
I think it's more to do with profile than reputation. It's more like a list of players with most followers on social media.
