You boys really need to stop sharing girlfriends

I think TED would like in on the fun too:-

i wished i had a brain
then i could take the strain
ive just joined the the tinder group as the mrs is bombing me out
ive not had sex for ten years so i may not be in with a shout
its at times like this that that i look to my only god given gift
yes yes yes my poetry gives me a lift

I had it as 3-5-2, Nines, with Bidwell and Wsolek as wing-backs. As I've mentioned before, that combination can make it look like a lop-sided back four because Wsolek plays further forward than Bidwell. Whatever it is, it's working though.

The addition of Scowen has been a boost for Luongo, who is now released to make more forward carries. I do think he is a little reminiscent of Gerry Francis when running with the ball. Freeman was excellent again, his ability to make himself a yard of space is exceptional. There can't be a better midfield three in this division.

We are a decent side.

My son and I debated the formation but I think you have it right: it was a lop-sided 3-5-2 with Bidwell well getting forward and Wsolek even more so. Baptiste also seemed to be supporting the attack well at times and had a very good game. Robinson was a surprise at CB but did very well and I wouldn't mind seeing him there again, especially if the alternatives are Lynch and Perch.

The first half was one of the most enjoyable I have seen for a long time and the second wasn't bad either! It was a very good team performance, technically good as well as lots of effort. Onuoha was superb, Baptiste a revelation, Robinson the CB we have been missing, and the midfield were different class. We could have won by three or four goals and Ipswich would not have been entitled to complain.

QPR celebrate Loftus Road anniversary in fine style - Report

Sunday, 10th Sep 2017 19:44 by Clive Whittingham

QPR marked 100 years of making a mess of things in the same place by turning a comfortable 3-0 win against Ipswich Town into a 2-1 injury time panic.

It’s inevitable, and only right, that on such occasions memories drift back to the good times: the play-off wins under the lights, the thrashings of the British game’s biggest clubs, the free-scoring European campaigns and the wonderful players. On the one hundredth anniversary of Queens Park Rangers moving to their beloved home, nobody wants to dwell too long on the 3-0 defeats to Stockport County, and the Karl Ready back-passes.

QPR have been blessed with some outstanding footballers, maverick talents and personalities. But they are a club that has won one League Cup, one Copa Del Ibiza and just eight promotions in getting on for 150 years of existence, 100 of those spent at Loftus Road. There have been more bad times than good, particularly just lately.

He's right, it would have been fitting to let them equalise at the end. Been on holiday and otherwise busy, so my first game is Tuesday this season. Let's hope our good form continues.

Another good report from Clive.
It's encouraging that Babtiste seems to be doing well, as he was slammed on here by some after his first game I recall. It's also good that Luongo seems to be putting in more consistently good performances too. Early days though............early days!

I believe Luongo is the best midfield player in the division Col currently and in The Rat we have a player that allows others to play. Add into that Freeman and the fact that our two very good wing backs join that force when we are hunting down without the ball ... it looks a great system to me
Ollie also makes our defenders break and join in into this wolf pack
He has the front two cutting off any build up play from the back and when they are bypassed then the front two have good movement to find space down the channels ready to receive the ball when the wolf pack wins it back
It's early days agreed but there is system in place home and away
The confidence is building I just hope we have other players to fit into this if we get injuries or find ourselves two goals down ... currently it looks like the players go direct when smith and Lua Lua come on so we even have a back up plan

Hope they maintain it all because it's very good

Have to say I loved the match on Saturday. Lots to applaud throughout the game, Freeman looks class on the ball. Apart from their goal we looked a good side with our players looking up for it. 3 points tomorrow and we can all start getting carried away!

I think our midfield is possibly one of the best in the division. The Pole is a good wing back, but I'm not so sure Bidwell is.
