Can I just mention how impressed I was with Baptiste today. Really solid, nice football and careful tackles.. I am sure we were playing a back 3 but with Bidwell tighter to Robinson...whilst Pawel was much more forward on Baptistes side. Scowen was outstanding again......as were Mackie and Conor who defended from the front..Ipswich only got a sniff when Mackie and Conor left the field...Mackie came on at the end with an ice pack on his leg...don't expect to see him on Tuesday....shame Something not mentioned was that for all his faults...the 3 points were finally gained by Lualau who spent 5 glorious minutes frittering away Ipswich last few chances by inviting them to kick him and foul him...he prevented them making any further chances in the last 5 minutes.. Well done the whole team....definitely playing for each other, for Ollie and the shirt
352 in my book agree Mass MOM but The Rat and his work rate allows Mass to play Really like Scowen Bring on the CU Next Tuesdays
Well, I'm still waiting for mine and it better be business class. Probably asking too much being that l've only supported the club since 71. That fan must of been BC.
Another few games Yep there will be poor games bound to be But I'm ready to say we have our rangers back Millwall could go either way but the test will be Boro away next Sat as that Traore looks a bit better than his sister who played for us
As well as an excellent team effort there were some individual performances that were revalations (to me at least). This was Luongo's best game for us by far and he dominated proceedings all over the pitch. Easily MotM despite many other good performances. And Washington, despite not actually scoring, kept the Ipswich defence busy all afternoon and was as influential as I have seen. I have criticised these two heavily in the past so it's only right to pick out a couple of top performances.
Hard to see how he will get a sniff while Luongo, Freeman and Scowen are combining so well. We are really dominating gsmes in midfield so far.
He played against Brentford and wasn't good though none of them were. We'll have injuries and suspensions so he'll get a chance soon for sure. Borysiuk is maybe ahead of him though and Cousins will be back some day.
No stars or ego in our team, but a good, balanced performance yesterday. Crisp and accurate passing. Sharp defending. Mackie looked pumped up enough for a play-off final, and took his goal well. A senior player like that is a great influence in the dressing room. Much prefer Baptiste to Perch. We haven't got a 20 goals a season striker, so goals have to come from all over the pitch, and so far this season, in the home matches, they are. At the moment, we look credible for top six, but it's early days.
