Yes, BB. It was the 'Ghost Goal' against Reading. Stephen Hunt's corner was met by John Eustace, Stephen's brother Noel Hunt cut back a cross towards the penalty spot, Andre Bikey headed it goalwards and Loach acrobatically saved. Somewhere between Eustace and Noel Hunt's contributions 'assistant referee' <doh> Nigel Bannister spotted a goal. <confused>

Thought I'd do a quick one but got worried there, BB. Thanks for taking the baton. :)

    Over to you. <ok>

When questioned by reporters on how he felt the day after an accident, which English sportsman replied "Fine, except I feel a lot lighter."?

I have a feeling it may have been Billy Monger after his double leg amputation - truly inspirational lad.

No - but you're on the right track, so to speak. The name I'm looking for was a famous England international, who continued being an international after his accident.

That's the one - Toeless Titmus, who made a seemingly miraculous recovery from his boating accident. I read only recently that the offending speedboat was being driven by Colin Cowdrey's wife when it happened & the whole squad agreed to cover that up.

    Over to you...

No, not a salad but there is a tenuous Yorkshire connection!

A clue to the tenuous link:- Think Yorkshire man who's surname is the plural of the answer and his catch phrase was, "Give him the money Mabel!"
