Jürgen Klopp: I've been watching Alex's progress since 2014 http://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/fir...i-ve-been-watching-alex-s-progress-since-2014
I didn't say better, I said thinner I understand us being disappointedly thin give a CL campaign but I am really surprised at your predicament....
Barkley is an interesting one, wonder if he failed the medical and the withdraw is just to cover it up in the hope that in January he is fitter and the "problem" has gone away?
Thats ny point. Its barely thinner. Yours is just padded with some named youngsters. In reality the depth is pretty much the same. Especially now we have bought danny ****ing drinkwater
It was the Everton owner that said Barkley has passed a medical, "Farhad Moshiri said Everton had accepted a bid and Barkley had agreed personal terms before changing his mind after passing a medical."
Feel sorry for VVD - I can't believe we didn't have the bottle to bid for him and that we were waiting for Soton to invite us?? How idiotic is that - I know that we were trying to play it safe because we didn't want to get in trouble but come on.
I would like to say a very special thank you to Liverpool FC. The £2.8 million we have received from your purchase of Alex from Arsenal will pay VVD's salary for the next 35 weeks. That will do very nicely thank you.
We appreciate it. Your contribution has been most welcome. By the way is it true you don't have Bob a Job Week in Liverpool because you don't have any scouts?
yeah... in short... i don't quite think any team in the prem is yet the ideal. I just feel anyone of the top 6 could win any cup but the trap for city and utd will be trying to win ALL the competitions. Cheslea IMO need to focus on two things, CL and League. League cup is a big no no. Fa cup is a take it as it comes post cl Liverpool as above. 100%, league cup will kill our squad over christmas if we go any distance in it. Arsenal. League only. Europa should be played to win but with reserves and focus should be crwl through group. Again they need to dump the league cup as they will have extra europa rounds. Utd: Utd have mostly all the squad they need barring maybe full back cover a bit and maybe win cover. they have a tonne of central players so can deffo go for more cups. If they want to win league they will need to play reserves i ncups but can go deep in cups doing it. City: I think they are still weak at a controlling midfield area and at CB really. take out kompany and it will go to pot. They can play a reserve team and go deep in cups too but are walking a fine line. Spurs... spurs have this game down to a tee... they will drop the cups pronto and the cl looks beyond them so they are ironed on europa in feb, dump that fast and be in top 4... Everton: is it time for everton to pick off a trophy... or did they need that striker? should they go for the league big style.. Yes they should but its time to deliver. For me right now success for LFC would be last 16 of CL. 4th in table (competing with arsenal and spurs and maybe cheslea)... maybe a fa cup run if we have a steallar first half of season I would be hopeful that top 4 share out the cups again.. or at least top 6 so europa is maintained at 7th. If teams are wise that league cup will go to city or utd.
IF we hold onto Coutinho after today, then it wouldn't have been that bad of a window. Just need to hold onto Coutinho until tonight, and if we do then he'll want to be playing with the WC coming up
i updated my summer window activity thread. Can you lads check the thing out and see if its accurate?
We need to know the full story before passing judgement. Would you think it worth the risk if we'd copped a transfer ban?
