Looks like most of the rumours are about Draxler being Sanchez's replacement. PSG need to sell due to FPP rules and Arsenal need to replace the unhappy Sanchez. No other players being linked with us at all. We've also rejected a £20m bid for Callum Chambers. Wilshere's future is still up in the air and may go if a good enough bid comes in. Perez and Mustafi haven't gone yet. This is skin of the teeth stuff from us. I still can't believe what's happening, it's shocking stuff.
Looks like Lemar is back on the cards for you. Superb player with years ahead of him to only get better, but still leaves you horrendously short in the same key areas that have been horrendously short for 4 years now.
Just reading now that we are going to make a £90m bid for Lemar ! It's in the daily mail so I'll take it with a pinch of salt. ****ing deadline day
Depends on who you follow on Twitter. Most of the ITK's are attention-seeking bellends, but a rare few are genuinely in the know. I actually got this one from one who supports Spurs but mentions the odd Arsenal link now and then as I think deep down he feels sorry for you The rumour is gathering pace. The problem you'll have is exceeding Pool's rejected bid of £75m. Would be amazed to see Wenger spend that kind of money, especially when mahrez is available for far less.
The only downside about lemar is he's isn't premier league proven. Would he actually join us ahead of Liverpool and Barcelona?
Crazy season continues. £92m is staggering. If it does happen, i kind of feel sorry for Lemar, he's probably thinking what sh1t storm he'll be arriving to if he signs for us.
So, what is the feeling - Sanchez and Ox for Lemar - decent deal? Independent now reporting that the fee for Lemar has been agreed. Personal terms being discussed. - Apparently. Also TalkSport reporting fee agreed.
Losing Sanchez is a blow. But he was going next year anyway, so might as well cash in now, as long as we do get Lemar. Oxo for £40m is a no brainer.
I kind of agree - Sanchez is not the same player he was 3 years ago. He seems to me the kind of player that once he loses a yard or 5, he will be ****. He has one move, and if he cant make that cut back inside anymore, he is useless. But anyway, I can't see how Sanchez can play for Chile and get back for a medical and sign for City, before the deadline. I think we are going to have them both for a season.
you got ripped off. Sounds okay in principle this late into the window but if you said at the start that you'd be paying 92m for lemar and sanchez and ox were leaving, you'd have been outraged. To put into perspective: a battling midfielder bakayoko went for 40 someone as good as lemar (more technical, less physical) in bernando silva went for 42m Morata is going for 60+10 Lukaku went for 75+15 Salah went for 35 Lacazette went for 55 Definition of a panic buy
To be fair you have always been consistent on Ozil being more important than Sanchez and sanchez being lazy. You can't take away that over the past 3 years sanchez has been your most productive player and i think most will agree he's your star player. As for his "one move" i would say sanchez has developed in that his vision and through balls have much improved since he first arrived. As for that one move its still devastating and still works for stallwarts messi and robben even though they do not have that blistering accelaration and pace that they used to have
Mate. Sanchez might not be the same player for Arsenal that he was 3 years ago but that's because he doesn't want to be here. Nothing to do with his skill. He's top drawer, no question.
