Couldn't you have gone down the pub? My usual refuge if I have to spend too long with just tge wife to talk to.My local has just got Kraken rum in so more incentive to go in. Unfortunately it has just had SKY put back in on Friday after 3 years so match days are a no go time again as listening to people from East Yorks referring to Man Utd, Liverpool and TWS as "us", "we" and "you" will make even Kraken unpalatable. Was amusing passing by on Saturday to see all 3 TV with SKY Sports Soccer Saturday on with people keeping track of scores and not one person asking for the Challenge Cup Final to be put on.

Strange that I can't post to the "adverts" thread at all (even though I'm not seeing adverts)...

I was a mod/site admin for an online community in the past where one day the forum just disappeared forever (site owner did a bunk and we didn't know until the registration didn't renew). Some people set up groups on facebook, but you can't be as anonymous there so we only got a small minority joining. Shame because there was some good times.

The difference here is that if this place disappeared then there are enough other virtual places where City fans already hang out that we could "move in", either permanently or until someone technical minded could set up a notnot606 forum.
 
In case anyone missed it on the advert thread,

Seemingly the site owner is aware of the problem with the ads, and its on his 'to do' list. I have no idea of timings, but generally I'd use a calendar rather than a stop watch.

EDIT. From supermods.

I went straight back to CI to see if you were all there
It was very quiet though so I assumed everyone was having a sabbatical / speaking to people. Strange idea but interesting for a day
 
Halle-bloody-lujah . At least the spilt coffee seems to have enabled email confirmations to finally work . Been trying for months to get back on the board after forgetting my password , though I have had to tweak my name . No more ads
