Wonder if the end will be the end, or if they'll carry it on/spin offs etc. It's too good just to call it a day.
Spoiler Well in. Personally, I wanted him to live on. Maybe TNK might resurrect? Surely, some of the mains who die will get turned at some point.
Spoiler That would be rubbish, as everything that made LF what he was would no longer be there. He'd just be a murderous zombie instead of someone who plots and uses his words to manipulate. Someone like a Tormund or Sandor makes more sense, as they are mainly known for fighting.
I don’t think it’d matter. It’d be the buzz of a main character fighting with the undead (or whetever they’re called) and once risen, importantly, they all turn quite hard anyway. From what I’ve seen, apart from the dragon, the only recognisable one is that ****ing giant. Maybe for the keener eye there’s already been others.
I thought it'd be bigger too. But didn't they say the million pop. of KL was bigger than all the north put together? Quill will probably know the precise figures, but maybe beyond the wall the populations are small and scattered, so 100k was perhaps all that was there (one of them, can't remember who, estimated that this was the size of the TNK's army). Did it ever say how big the wildling army was?
That giant isn't the giant you're thinking of, Wun-Wun. He died at Winterfell, and his body was likely burned. The Wildling army that attacked Castle Black in Season 4 was about 100k, but of course it will be a much smaller number in the hands of the NK because loads died during said battle and a lot managed to get beyond the Wall via Hardhome. There wasn't much beyond the Wall anyways, just Wilding camps spread out all over (there's meant to be something like 90 different clans in total).
Wasn't a giant killed by them at Hardhome? Have only seen the episode once but as it's your fave I'm sure you can confirm.
It's pretty much certain it happened, but not on camera. All of the major tribes were at Hardhome, the Giants being one of them. Wun-Wun was the only one (at least shown) to get out, so it's possible now that the Giants are extinct as we've not seen another one alive.
Yeah so the dead giant is (almost certainly) recognisable as the one who (almost certainly) died at Hardhome.
What do you mean? Leon said a giant was recognisable amongst the undead and its almost certain - you yourself said - that a giant was killed by them at Hardhome. Well wouldn't it stand to reason therefore that it's him that Leon recognised and he wasn't talking about Wun-Wun?
I'd rather hear it from Leon than you, tbh. He is his own person. But you of course can't help yourself to a good attempt at an argument with incredibly flawed logic. You know you have your own personal thread for this, right?
What are you on about? What is 'incredibly flawed' about saying a giant died at Hardhome and it's probably him? There's no argument involved.
I forgot about that giant who carked it at Winterfell. The one I referenced I thought came from the Hardhome battle. Although, thinking on, I can't honestly remember how many giants we (the viewer) were aware of
Think there was a ****load of them in the early series but my memories **** for such things and I've only ever seen each episode once
