Anyone know how much Hull paid for Kingsley? Because if we paid £16.5 million for Clucas, who it seems is a replacement for Siggy, stand in CB and cover for Olsson, and gave them Kingsley we've been mugged.
How different is it from Everton bidding 40M when we said the price was 50M...... 10 million is 10 million innit ? However - I've just copied this quote from Football Insider website : "The newspaper claims that Swansea boss Paul Clement has had Arias on the top of his summer wish list for months and is now close to securing the right-back in a £12 million deal It is understood that Chelsea have the Colombia international on their list for the wing-back position, and Arias is aware of the interest from the Premier League champions."
It has been reported that Hull completed the signing of Kingsley on a three-year deal but not as part of the deal that saw Sam Clucas arrive at the Liberty.
Let's face it - everything is bullshit. Until some dude is having a medical with us it wise not to believe anything.
You only want him in central midfield, he's a poor left winger and a very poor left back (he's never played at centre back), he's actually been moved up front late on in games and he looks more comfortable as a striker than he does anywhere on the left.
Clement said today that one signing could go down to the wire. They knew in May Gylfi wanted to leave. Bunch of amateurs the lot of them. Where's the creative players?
He may develop into a very good player given time, though I doubt he'll ever get into Siggy's class, Clement is hardly going to say he's a rookie signing, or bad player now is he? but lets get real, there is £30 Million difference in the two, lets just hope the lad can develop quickly, as otherwise, unless we sign Bony, we have a big goal deficit to find this season, which is worrying to say the least. The one thing that Clucas has going for him is appetite, which he must have coming from none league in such a short time, lets hope he has the technical ability to go with it.............
Im happy for clucas to be here even though looking at his list of clubs and how he has done then im sorry i have to question where they get the £16.5m value from, and as for Kinglsey leaving for a couple of million is bad business however you look at it.......I hope Clucas who can play in a number of positions does well for us but somehow i cant see him justifying his price tag. He seems a nice lad though but has no pedigree...
Isn't it down to wages? Don't think Wilf would be happy halving his pay packet. City would be quite happy for him to go quite cheaply.
It probably is, it wouldn't surprise me that City might have to contribute to his wages just to get rid of him.
