“Past time for sensible MPs in all parties to admit Brexit is a catastrophe, come together in new party if need be, and reverse,” the former Daily Mail political editor posted on his Twitter account. James Chapman who resigned as David Davis's chief of staff said it was time for sensible journalists on newspapers that advocated Brexit “to admit it is going to destroy the lives of many of their readers”.
He added: “If the PM doesn’t, in my point of view, show more flexibility, show more pragmatism than she did demonstrate in the Home Office, she won’t get this stuff through Parliament.”

It really is frightening what is going on..... a sort of blind kamikaze

Sadly the media didn't see it coming and got caught up in the establishment line... and thus influenced many thousands of people... the facts were nowhere to be seen.....

If they publish that then the billionaire, non-dom, off shore banking, tax avoiding (possibly dodging), owners will sack them and put in another "yes man" come delusional and dishonest editor in charge.

I am not interested in such polls - we don't know how they were calculated or what questions were actually asked. In reference to the bill, which will be presented, both sides need to see reason on this - it is obvious that something has to be paid - at the same time Britain is not going to write a blank cheque which has been calculated intransparently behind closed doors. The option of saying 'We're not paying anything - we're just going' does not exist - because Britain would never be trusted by any other trading partner afterwards. If we leave then we have to do it in an orderly fashion - otherwise the damage to Britain's standing in the World would be too great. Who would sign deals of any sort with a country which simply throws its toys out of the pram and storms out of all its existing commitments ?

There are plenty of surveys that have found different things, but if the truth is told it matters not a jot what you or I or anybody else thinks, it is out of our hands. Come next month it will become clearer as the UK government comes to some sort of agreement between ministers in the cabinet as to just how they can achieve something that will not ruin the country. It seems that more of them are coming to the conclusion that they will have to ask for a lengthy transition period, probably taking the country to the next election. Then people will be able to show their true opinion.
 
I think what it does say is the UK public is not desperate to stay in the single market and is keen on the UK having the ability to control its own borders. It is also not keen for the UK to pay much of a ransom.

Britain already does control its own borders - how often does this need to be repeated. It is also not a ransom but rather an assessment of debt and long term commitments, the non payment of which would sink Britain's international standing to rock bottom.

Of course this is correct. As I said above it doesn't matter what the public think, they no longer have any say in the matter.

Even the Irish are not impressed with the Macron boy. Only 23% of those French people polled think France is heading in the right direction, we though Theresa May had problems!!

It is good to see that Liam Fox and his travels around the world are paying off. As he said; “From ice cream to swimwear, you can find UK holiday exports in travel destinations around the world,” Mr Fox said, adding his department was supporting British business to “take advantage of the growing global markets” after Brexit. So where is this boom in exports coming from that he is so proud of? Well according to the report he had his officials compile it was £160m worth of sunglasses, £93m worth of swimwear, £16m worth of ice-creams and £8m in flip-flops. 93% of ice cream went to the EU. 81% of sunglasses went to the EU. 73% of swimwear went to the EU. The sales of flip-flops is too small to record in official figures. The vast majority of ice cream sold in the UK is made by Unilever which is a Dutch/ UK company, and with all the plants that they own in the EU it is not difficult to see them servicing only the UK market from the UK if customs become a problem. All in all, we import £93m more of sunglasses, £132m more of ice cream, and £74m more of swimwear than we export. So why produce these figures unless he believes he has to do something to justify his job? Gun and feet come to mind for some reason.

Wrong.

One of the main components during the Brexit negotiations is the French President. If you can supply proof that he will have no input whatsoever I will eliminate him from the Brexit mix.
