We really need Son fit for the start of the season. There were basically only four vaguely regular goalscorers last season and he was one of them.
I attend the Mount Pleasant Christian church in Richmond,Kentucky.People there are extremely pleasant......even the minister. He is a Sheriff's Deputy when not ministerin.....and adds many of his daily experiences into his sermons. Some sad, some funny.I've never seen him or the elders in robes or clerical colours.Very laid back.....maybe why I go there......!
Well I was talking nowadays. Where it's mostly jumble sales, people going three weeks in a row and pretending to know the words to the songs so they can get married in a church for free and Thought For The Day. Very little real God-bothering and inquisitions. Alright - a fairly substantial bit of *****philia here and there. I'll give you that. But mostly it's nice old buildings, graveyards and the odd art exhibition.
While I'd largely agree with you, we still end up with fruitcakes like Theresa May and Nicky Morgan in positions of power.
Oh yeah - Britain's mostly atheistic chocolate-box "religion" (I am mostly thinking of the dear old redundant CofE) is certainly no guarantee of good outcomes! Not to mention, of course, that a bit of religion may well make someone a more caring, thoughtful person. (Not sure how the giant, 'orrible statue of touchdown Jesus helped in this regard but God moves in mysterious ways, apparently...).
I don't think that a bit of religion makes any difference, to be honest. People are either caring and thoughtful or they're not. Nothing caring and thoughtful about May or Morgan, as far as I can see.
You may well be right, tbh. Probably just gives a justification for already-present traits the vast majority of the time.
just an observation as a teacher: children that go to church on a Sunday morning are better behaved than those that don't.
Correlation doesn't equal causation. please log in to view this image Regular church attendance in the UK is rather rare, too.
I don't regret the trip at all. I had a great time, even if the it was a bad match for us. I enjoyed seeing the players nearer than I'd seen them in the past, especially Dembele, Dier and N'Koudou. I've seen so few matches that there's something very exciting about just being there. It is interesting to watch our learning curve when other teams press. The team does seem to understand now that getting some possession at any cost is helpful. But against City all that translated to was working the ball back to the keeper. It looked like we needed to send more passes across the pitch--but the bottom line is that when another team outworks you comprehensively, you'll have a lot of trouble doing anything. As it happens, Pittsburgh has quite a number of beautiful churches. No doubt all or almost all are of no particular architectural interest, but there are some very nice Gothic and Romanesque structures. I believe in trying to create illusions faster than you can see through them, so that makes me pro-religion. I guess.
Hang on - that x-axis makes no sense. It goes up, then down. And as such has ruined my excellent gag about pirates liking the high seas. Very disappointing for us all, I'm sure you'll agree.
You just can't trust pirates to compile graphs, I'm afraid. Here are some other examples: http://www.tylervigen.com/spurious-correlations It includes Nicholas Cage films = deaths by drowning in pools and divorces in Maine's connection to margarine consumption.

If W = well-behaved child and C = child attends church, then what is being claimed is : 1. P(W | C) > P(W | not C) 2. P(not W | not C) > P(not W | C) < Bayesian >
Has anyone stumped up cold, hard currency to go to the Juventus game? I know nobody who is going. There's gotta be a fair chance that Juve supporters will outnumber Spurs. Sad but the club's got only themselves to blame on this one. I can find no reason to excuse them for this monumental balls up.
