Andy CarrollHistory would show we're not afraid to pay big money for a mediocre talent who aren't worth it

.I remember a few years ago Barca were interested in Thiago Silva from PSG and their response? They threatened to meet Messi's release clause (in excess of £200m at the time).
If we are serious about keeping Coutinho and want to be considered amongst the elite, might be time to play them at their own game.
I wouldn't take £100m for Coutinho. We can get the same next season and he is part of Klopp's plans, we haven't had enough time to prepare for this.

That would assume that Keita was off for good (at least till next summer) which is good imo. RB wont sell and £70m is alot of money for a player who might be a similar case to many of the Leicester players. If he does it again next summer and £48m is the price, it'll probably be worth it... till then we should wait and find someone else.Keita bid denied, £89m Coutinho bid claimed – Liverpool FC Transfer News Roundup

BARCA CLOSE IN ON €100M COUTINHO
Barcelona officials are in London to complete the signing of Philippe Coutinho, Sport reports.
Negotiations have been going smoothly but the Spanish side will have to spend more than €100m (£89.3m) to sign the Liverpool star, potentially breaking the world transfer record in the process.
Don't be daft, he is just saying chuck another £5m at it like he thinks RBL are saying.I think Jurgen has made it quite clear that Cout's is going nowhere
