Agree , but has Fernandez or Bartley ever played on a top flight team , qualified for UEFA while capturing player of the season honors . I believe Fernandez will have his breakout season this time around , away from Williams . I feel Solid at CB if they are all used to their strengths
Far too many Midfielders in the squad and not enough quality defenders, The game last night and the one against a L2 side shows perfectly well we are very weak in defense, We need another forward with experience as Tammy has none or i can see us as being the whipping team for the coming season...
Totally agree withJH Swansea City’s attacking midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson has been heavily linked with a move to Everton this summer. According to reports from The Guardian, Everton are close to signing the Iceland international, who has pulled himself out of Swansea’s pre-season tour of the United States. Swansea have reportedly rejected an offer in the region of £40 million from Everton. They are seeking a fee of around £50 million, although a compromise can be reached. please log in to view this image Swansea City's Gylfi Sigurdsson The 27-year-old has been the most influential player for the Swans last season, with his 9 goals and 13 assists helping the club to narrowly avoid the relegation. Former Wales striker John Hartson says that Swansea should not consider selling Sigurdsson as his departure will be an astronomical loss for the club. “They can't sell him, it's as simple as that," said Hartson, as quoted by Wales Online. "Paul Clement wants players in his team that will fight for the shirt, which Sigurdsson has always done. "But if he goes to Paul Clement - if he hasn't already - and says 'I want to play for Everton', then they'll have a decision to make. "That, for me, is the only way Sigurdsson should leave, if he actually tells the club he wants out. "In terms of losing him, it would be an astronomical loss. He was instrumental in Swansea staying up last season. He adds that the only way Swansea should consider selling him is if the player tells the manager that he wants to join Everton. Hartson also adds that the price quoted for him “really doesn’t matter” as his worth to the club is even greater. He warns Swansea cannot think of staying up next season by losing their best player. "You can't keep losing your best players every season and think you'll be able to stay in the Premier League. "So the only way they can allow him to leave is if Sigurdsson actually tells the club he wants to move on. Otherwise, he can't be sold, it's as simple as that."

This does really piss me off, how can they offer him anything when we haven't given them permission to speak, what they can pay him is actually totally irrelevant until such time as they meet our valuation.
Not to worry TLF, just another embarrassing case of premature ejaculation from Everton. Maybe we should issue a little release of our own, just to remind them that they will have to buy him first and then they can bash off all they want about how much they are willing to pour Siggys way. All this scouser ****ing over Siggy has made Everton blind to the obvious though, which is that, there ARE better options out there for them. Better players can be bought for less than £50m. Every one with a brain has to be asking, why hasn't Everton looked at Nacer Chadli? or Jonathan Viera themselves? . Both are very good players, both are up for grabs, both are considerably cheaper than £50m. Everton have ****ed themselves blind and that's their problem. Why haven't they looked at any other player? because they're twats, that's why. They can not see the most obvious solution available to them, the way out of all the embarrassment they are facing. Its so easy too, all they need do is simply look for another player, a cheaper option. By continuing their pursuit of Sigurdsson all they are doing is showing everyone what MONUMENTAL TWATS they are. If we do sign Viera though, or his like, then everything changes and quickly. We'll drop Siggy like a tepid turd, wash our hands of him for £40m, we'll remove Evertons nose from our a-hole and we'll get on with preparing for the season ahead. Sing it boys and girls, sing it loud............... Everton are ****ers Everton are ****ers nah nah nah nahhhh nah nah nah nahhhh.................repeat ad infinitum............
I have got to the stage now that I would be happy for him to go anywhere that's meets the valuation other than Everton, ****house tactics and I really hope he goes somewhere else. If he does go there I hope we squeeze every penny we can get out of them. just seen this. http://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/...ilfried-bony-not-included-manchester-13344365
Release clause dictates Siggy and his agent can speak to , and be spoken back from any team I think .
I think Bony is in a " Man on Fire " scenario if he can get to a team and play regular ... lots to prove and I hope it's with us .
