Some interesting comments from DF re Jamal Lewis and how he is developing - http://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwich-city/jamal-lewis-is-a-shining-light-at-norwich-city-1-5106340.
I had just read that as well JMF. It appears that he has leapfrogged Toffolo in the City standings, and could be back up to Husband. Good to see the academy production line has finally been kick started and producing quality products. But where does this leave Harry? Another loan? Not sure his loans have improved the quality of his play so far, maybe time to say goodbye.

Today's offering on MFW - http://norwichcity.myfootballwriter...-a-top-keeper-anguss-first-touch-will-be-key/ Please be aware that as Martin Penney's comment following the article says - "It will be fascinating to watch some of our older supporters having the proverbial kittens as we knock it about at the back waiting for the right gap to appear!"
Here's one older person that won't have kittens, if I wanted to watch our defenders lump it blindly up the pitch I could always watch 1p5wich!
We did that for a lot of last season, unfortunately most of gaps were in the skills of our defenders.
Yes, I agree canario, but luckily Bassong has gone!!! Edit - I see England under19s European champions, beating Portugal in the final - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/40619862.
An excerpt from Gary Gower's offering on today's MFW and it's good to see that JM refers to Wes as 'the master' - "The tone of Daniel Farke in his post-match interviews told of a head coach who’s fairly confident that Klose’s injury is short-term but who is less confident of a positive diagnosis for the latter. And that, if it comes to fruition, will be his first real body blow as City’s head honcho. Fortunately, if it’s even possible to use such a word in these circumstances, it’s one area of the field where the squad is well equipped and for that we really have to ‘thank’ Alex Neil and his recruitment team (who, unlike Frankie McAvoy, I’m guessing won’t be following him to Preston). With James Maddison having already caught the eye and Steven Naismith now seemingly intent on busting a gut to earn his Norwich millions, there are some pretty damn good options even before the gaze falls on one Wesley Hoolahan; someone the aforementioned Maddison calls ‘The Master’. So it’s a blow, a pretty big one, but it’s one the squad is well equipped to withstand without Stuart Webber having to work his way down his list of names. It's interesting that both formations at Cambridge involved a back 3 and WBs, with Zimmerman flanked by the more mobile Klose and Martin in the first case. That could be why Marin was retained and hopefully this new role will please Klose and encourage him to stay. What Penney calls the 'sweeper-keeper' provides a 4th 'player' at the back while the DM breaks up attacks in front of the defense. The other CM then becomes a deep play-maker with the WBs and 3 forward players providing options ahead of him. Vrancic seems well suited to that role and seems to be an excellent set-piece specialist as well. Pinto is a natural WB and it seems Husband was recruited for that flexibility as well with our attacking players well suited to a 3 man front-line.
I really like Iorfa. He's a quality prospect!! I would have really liked us to sign him. Looks like he would have preferred it too.
Didn't know Dean Kiely was responsible for set pieces under Alex Neil. Hopefully his departure will mean improvements in that area!
His delivery has certainly looked impressive so far. I presumed Kiely was organising our set piece defence, which is where there's certainly been room for improvement.
Pre-season going well for Sunderland: "17' @VitoMannone88 can't control a back pass and it ends up in the net, but he handled it and an indirect free-kick is awarded."
Wow. Following on from my AC Milan transfer post. This: Another world class signing. I'm going to look forward to keeping an eye out for AC Milan games.
