Further photos were taken but not included I'm told. They were of some 70 year old geezer who had just popped into the garage shop for some aubergines, gin and the Sunday Mail (with supplement), but including that photo wouldn't have had the same affect would it now?

I hope he hid the Sunday Mail inside a copy of Razzle to hide the embarrassment.

I posted this a few weeks ago. Maybe Ehab was dazzled by the thought of been well in with abrahamovitch on a personal level too. Ehab conned slutsky into coming and slutsky conned Ehab into thinking the door was open to Roman.

Despite a fine track record in Russian football with CSKA Moscow, we all know the great attraction in Leonid Slutsky for Hull City. Loan signings.

As a friend of Roman Abramovich, Hull think Slutsky may be able to bring in some talented youngsters from Chelsea on the cheap. It is another of the loan system's flaws — it lends itself to the old pal's act. A young coach with a direct line to Sir Alex Ferguson was once considered a catch for the same reason Slutsky is now.

'Of course it is possible that some of Chelsea's players can be loaned,' Slutsky teased, and Hull took the bait. Tomas Kalas, Lucas Piazon, Kasey Palmer and Izzy Brown have all been mentioned as possible temporary acquisitions. The same logic got Avram Grant through the door at Portsmouth and later West Ham.

Harry Redknapp recalls being sold Grant as technical director at Fratton Park because he would help get players from Chelsea. Later, he returned as manager, failed to secure any advantageous loans and took Portsmouth down.

This did not stop West Ham acquiring his services the following season with identical results: no Chelsea loan players, and the drop. One cannot help wondering why, if Abramovich holds Slutsky in such high regard, he is not now managing Chelsea.

He was available after the 2016 European Championship, just the same as Antonio Conte.
Can Add to your post re that attract of the Slut/ Abramovich combo as was mentioned I think in some interview somewhere was was the potential for some deep sea pocketed oligarch to pay the 120 million they want for the club..

Cameron Brannagan contract dispute with Liverpool has Championship clubs plotting cut-price move

Stoke City, Hull City and Derby County are keeping tabs on the set-piece specialist. (Independent)

Difficult choice for Cammy. but initially he wanted to stay close to the M62.

Visited Stoke first and had a chat to a new signing, wanting to know what Stoke are like and had he heard of what Hull are like.

Then went to Derby, had a word with a couple of recent signings there. What's Rowett like, the club like, and had they heard what Hull are like.

Turns out he spoke to Tymon, Davies and Hudds!

Eeny, meeny, miney, mo .......... Hull City 1904 Tigers you are out!

Bollocks....adding them all up, I reckon he has barely spent anything, especially when you take into account getting to the Premier League, and FA Cup Final, and Europe. How many clubs our size would have happily spent double what he did to get the success he brought. I, along with others, thought he could be too negative at times but I would never slag off his transfer dealings. If anything, Brownie was responsible for wasting dough that we could never get back...how many players he bought did we actually make a profit on?
Please dont bring getting into Europe into it. A) it was essentially by default and B) some anus ****ed it up...

A Right Sided / Defencively minded Russian that Slutsky has had his hands on IS Due In Tomorrow. Ivad Onebollockov. No Source.

We could sell most players and have 4 left and people would act like it isn't a problem.

' I'm not bothered that .... has left the club we can play a goalkeeper there instead'

Because when the inevitable happens and we sign players, it will no longer be a problem. Be realistic, the squad we have now won't be what we start the season with. Which is a number of weeks away yet. What's the point in getting pissed off? We can't do anything about it, so we just have to wait. Who cares if Burton Albion have signed their 12th player of the window? If we get three in this week that's four signings we will have made, loan or otherwise. There's then another month of transfer window to go. A player might start banging them in further down the leagues that we want to sign that we hadn't looked at. Players at bigger clubs become available as they get their own targets in.

I can guarantee that even if we've made enough signings to placate those on here with transfer envy, there'll still be some dickheads whinging on deadline day about a lack of activity. It isn't when that's important, it's who. If we have to wait a week to sign four really good players, then you wait a week. If we just want players for the sake of it, then fine, get a load of cheap league 2 players in and throw a "we've signed somebody party."
