Them leaving had absolutely nothing to do with role they would have under him, he repeatedly said he's rather have kept them.
Or Meyler or Henriksen. We need 3 centre halves and 2 left backs. Another winger and a couple of strikers. 8 as an absolute minimum.
Agreed. If we'd announced three signings on Friday of a cb and two forwards, tom woulda slipped, out the back door.
hes already said the russians are on massive money and are hard to sign as they're not EU players and classed as foreigners and harder to permits for
We were never going to get near Izzy Brown, Palmer or any Chelsea kid when there's PL interest and you can't expect to. Piazon's staying at Fulham, can't say I'm overly bothered and Kalas we'll have to wait and see. There's still plenty of quality Chelsea kids who could come here and make a huge difference. I'll be happy to name some if you like
Mike White - Told that when Slutsky arrived at #hcafc he was of the belief (assured?) he would lose no further players. He must be questioning that now.
Already getting used to the fact that Tom's gone...Sad to see him go, but actually think its not a bad bit of business for an ageing player, who doesn't get around the pitch, though he never did, did he.
Bollocks....adding them all up, I reckon he has barely spent anything, especially when you take into account getting to the Premier League, and FA Cup Final, and Europe. How many clubs our size would have happily spent double what he did to get the success he brought. I, along with others, thought he could be too negative at times but I would never slag off his transfer dealings. If anything, Brownie was responsible for wasting dough that we could never get back...how many players he bought did we actually make a profit on?
Could well be true, but incredibly naive on his part if that is true, and if he believed it. Probably stating the obvious, I'd say this coming week is now critical. Unless the train is put back on the track, meaning there's a few quality additions, the chances must be high that he will simply walk away, and that other senior players will seek their way out as none will want to be associated with or go through another train wreck like last year. And surely the **** Enob has to communicate now, just like he promised
Bruce's biggest mistake was the year we went down. He went and bought great young talent but never played them. And I will never foregive him for not qualifying for The UEFA cup group stages. You can't dismiss his transfer business as negative though. Especially the way some of them have developed.
Someone's tweeted a pic of a car apparently at South Cave BP with a personalised plate along the lines of 'Kalas'. Solid gold stuff.
Except we offered him a new longer term deal on better terms. It wasn't a 'last pay day' he was after at all. It was though the chance to return to Derby. I agree, I would also do exactly the same if I were him and in his shoes.
Thank you for posting that, I was trying to work out how on my phone. It's all we have right now! They do drive those big daft cars though don't they, footballers?!?
