Actually, I know you like ****ing around with the truth and presenting made up stuff as fact, but for clarity the players we've sold, and have therefore been bought from us: Curtis Davies - Derby County (undisclosed). Harry Maguire - Leicester £17m. Josh Tymon. - Stoke City (fee to be decided by tribunal). That's from your own list on Pg 1. We've sold 3 players. 3 clubs wanted to buy our players from us. Three. So far. Tom might or might not go, but the point is, as I was making in my post, if we were buying players right now, it's too late apparently. Yet Derby obviously have left it "right til the last minute" too.
Season long loans that started in January? My point was we've lost half our squad and as a consequence we have a far bigger need for replacements, yet almost every club in the Championship has managed to sort more deals than us.
Actually, my list has Huddlestone already gone and I plan to add Robertson to the sold list tomorrow. Followed by Elmo by Wednesday and Jakupovic by Friday.
So 3 gone early. Ish. No confirmation about Tom but still, it's late in the window, according to the knicker wetters on here. End of next week? Lordy, what are those clubs doing leaving it all til the last minute eh?
Make all the excuses you like, they're not going to wash with me, or any other right thinking City fan. Still, by the sounds of it Ehab's about to get a kicking in Portugal, so it could still turn out to be a constructive day.
Funny how you think you are the right thinking city fan and others with different opinions to you are not.
7 first team defenders who were available for selection at the back end of last season have either gone or are about to go. Yes that includes loan players. In return we have brought in a young, untested loanee. We are playing Max Clarke at centre half in a pre season friendly whilst our new right back is playing left back. It's hardly knicker wetting to say it's a complete and utter mess, thus far. Will it change? To some degree it will but the preparation and planning of our first team is comical. In Ehab we trust.
If any of us were right thinking, we wouldn't be City fans! Who in their right minds would go through what we go through?
I still expect things to improve, but to suggest that the position we're currently in is anything but a complete disaster, is ridiculous.
It is nothing short of embarrassing!! The only thing it isnt is a surprise..... Quote Ehab........ We want most of our business done early in this window....... The business must all be outgoings...... Quote Slutsky i want 90% of my signings in before pre season starts......... In reality we have 50% of a squad made up of the U23's who also now no longer full have a squad because of it! Interesting if Slutsky gives a press conference tonight.............
Oh I agree it aint pretty. What I'm banging on about is how we have certain excitable posters on here who seem to think you should have all your new players in by the first week the window opens, anything else is not acceptable. Also, they're annoyed that they're not told what targets the clubs after, what the status of the negotiations etc are at too. I'm just pointing out that players are bought and sold throughout the window, and it's not true that only the ****e ones are done at the last minute.
Complete disaster? Frig me. You sure you're not a recent convert to supporting Hull City? I could also list a ****e load of other things that are complete disasters. Our club doesn't come even close.
The ratio of outgoings to incomings just doesn't add up. It's all one way traffic at the moment and I don't think for one second we've finished selling players. The clock is ticking.
