And for what it's worth, losing Tom wouldn't be a big loss IF we had signed more players by now, he's coasted for the last few season and not really produced a bit like Elmo (if he goes) I agree we should have and I would have wanted us to do more business by now, but until the window closes there is still time for us to do business and I'm sure we will :)

All the talk of asset stripping though is quite funny

All the players who have gone or are looking like they are going are players I was expecting to lose (bar CD) Harry was always going to go and the same with Robinson.

And just to put the record straight, I don't support the allams, I want them gone, I just won't blame them for absolutely everything without question. I try to stay Open minded and look at things without blinkers either way :)

Problem is, the more players we lose without replacing them, regardless of whether we expected to or not, the more it looks like asset stripping, planning for mediocrity or whatever term you want to use, to the world of agents and players, not just to us fans.
Where is the statement of intent for someone like Clucas or Grosicki, who possibly could buy into another season with us IF it looked like we actually meant to have a go at getting straight back to the Premier League?
This makes absolutely no football sense given Ehab stated he wanted us to have our business done early, we intend to go straight back up etc, and very little business sense given it will be much harder/expensive to persuade clubs/agents/players now they see a) we have taken over £20m in outgoing transfer fees, and b) it looks like instead of joining a core of experienced PL and promotion winning players, they will be joining a bunch of kids and Michael Dawson.

Would you rather us get just anyone in Early so it looks like ehab stuck to his word, or the correct players in late? We have no idea what's going on behind the scenes and who we are working on, it's massively frustrating but I still believe come the end of the window we will have a squad that will be pushing it the top end of the league, if we don't I'll be happy to slate the owners

The club have stated their aim is promotion, and Chazz (i think) maintained that no-one had a better starting 11 in the Championship earlier in this thread....perhaps I would have been better stating that 'people' are deluded rather than make it seem as though I was referring just to you. Just seems, in response to the accusations of panty wetting, that there are some who seem determined to, not so much paper over the cracks, more like dump a whole load of **** into the great ****ing chasm of chaos and pretend that everything is somehow on track or going to plan.
I've repeatedly stated, rather than sign anyone I'd rather no one left, as a trade off.
Obviously if we keep selling first team players, we haven't got the best starting eleven.

Less likely we will get the 'correct' players in the longer we go on just selling assets and becoming less attractive to those 'correct' players, and less likely those we do want to stick around will do so as more of their mates jump ship and no-one comes into to replace them.
We would be far more likely to get the correct players in if we had a core group they were adding to, rather than a shell of a squad that cannot even adequately fill eleven positions on the pitch.
We might even have half a chance if the club came out with some kind of statement to signal it's intent to crack on and build a squad for a promotion challenge or we were getting linked with some incomings.
Regardless of what we end up with, (and I will be delighted if we end up with a squad that is challenging for promotion) this is a shambolic way to go about planning for a season, just as last season was.

I agree. It's about quality. If it takes another week to get some quality additions in, so be it. Other teams are doing their business now, so what? It's not like there will be no players left to buy. Mid July isn't leaving it late. The season doesn't start until August, new players don't need a month to get used to a team, they need a couple of training sessions, most teams have the same fundamentals.

Assuming Huddlestone and Robertson are gone, our first team squad listed on the website is down to 23. Four of those aren't currently available due to injury, taking us to 19 (three of which are keepers). Of those 19, seven are youth players who have either a handful of appearances (Keane, Bowen, Luer), to a load of lads with no first team experience at all (with us or anyone else).
We've signed three more youngsters, are they on the website squad yet?

Got my PPI back...wife says why not get season membership for city.like u wanted for years....i said nah.....ill watch east kilbride instead...never thought i would be saying that. Dark times

You are a glass half full person I get it.
But I'd encourage you to look at the current squad.
We are not just going to need 1/2 players we are needing around 6 players currently and that's before yet more leave.
This isn't like last time.
We are absolutely ****ed with a manager who's still learning English.

It's good to see that you'll be happy to slate the owners if we don't have a competitive team.

I also must ask why that only comes now, it's not as if it'll be the first time it's happened?

Another question, if I may be so bold? What leads you to believe, evidence wise, that any normal minded person thought, for one minute, that Ehab would be good to his word? To be fair to him, & his arsewipe father, in the context of their understanding of 24 hours, it is quite early into pre-season as regards getting business done early.

They are ****s, good for nothing, ignorant, petulant, childlike ****s. I for one give a little smile when I see players leaving for less than their worth (in the current climate), as it means there's less going in the ****ing owner's pockets.

Anybody who cannot see what is going on must be blind or very very stupid. I'm guessing you have no white stick.

I think he/we will sign players because for all you say the allams are, they are business men who can and do make money, take all your personal feelings (which BTW are funny and a little ott) and look at it from a business POV for the allams to make the most money, we need to be in the Prem,

It's still very early in the window and yes it would have been great to have the team and squad sorted and settle, but let's be realistic for a second, no team has all their business done and players will continue to move and become available as the window goes on, I'd rather we get the correct quality players in rather then any player quick.

Your correct I don't have a white stick, nor am I stupid, I just don't get hysterical like you did and slag people off I have no personal knowledge of or someone who hasn't done anything to me personally, I don't agree with a number of things they have done and I want then to sell up and leave, but I won't and don't let them bother me and will continue to look at things from an unbiased and non blinkered point of view :)

Yes we do need that amount, what difference does it make when we get them if they are the correct players? And as for the gaffers English.....its pretty damm good for a bloke who only started 6mnth ago! Better then Silva's imo

Every player who leaves makes us weaker and a poorer proposition for any potential new signing, that's piss poor management whichever way you try and spin it.

When Robertson goes (if he hasn't already gone), it leaves us with twelve senior first team players who are fit.

You say the Allams are businessmen and that's true of Assem, but not true of Ehab, who's just a talentless dipshit and sadly, it's him who's running Hull City Tigers.

What difference does it make when we get them it makes a huge difference because of the numbers required.
Again we don't need 1/2 players who simply slot in.
Also perceptions outside of the club does matter when trying to attract players.
Do you not see the similarities to last season.
I realise you believe a passionless none emotive stance gives you some high ground but doesn't it makes you look naive.
