He was first choice against CL-standard top 6 PL teams last season, why do you think a different badge on the shirt sleeve somehow changes his suitability?

cos the top 6 in england are ****e in CL?

seriously though it depends on the opposition. he won't get away with the bad tackles he does in the prem in CL. so you really need someone who is better positionally when you get a decent opposition in CL.

That's what we thought in 2014 when we went into it with no replacement for Suarez and with Balotelli. There'll be no knockout stages for us if we go into it half-cocked (and we won't be seeded, will we?). It's not the EL group stages, you know.

err first things first. lets actually qualify for the group stages.

Apparently City want Keita as well ...
Cannot say i am shocked !
I have no issue with teams buying players that they intend to use. In the 80s AC Milan appeared to buy players just so other teams could not have them.
Tbf it is the player/agents fault but I do believe that something should be done to stop that practice. However it would probably be impossible to get anyone to agree it even goes on.
I beilieve that Both Chelsea and City are involved in this culture. I must make it clear though I do not blame the teams at all in any way. It is the same feeling i have with loans within the same league it seems unfair.

Be good to have a Jock in the team again. For those of us of certain age, the EC '77 team apart (and of course, Istanbul) it seemed the club was bulit by Scots. Pity is, there's so few good Scots now - their kids are all on crack Tramadol rather than learning football. :emoticon-0138-think

us young lads learned early the history of LFC is based with scots. especially in the very early days where i think 10 of the 11 were scots or something.

We have a squad that already ripped top teams apart last season. We're already more suited to the CL than the EL.

Last season we travelled to the last English CL winners and PL champions and ripped them apart inside 36 minutes, but travelled to the desolate slum of the last English EL winners and their coward anti-football manager played for and celebrated a draw.

As I've persistently stated. At this rate we'll be getting in our targets (if at all) AFTER the first leg, at least, is over.

Lowers our transfer fees when we go 4-0 ahead

I would agree we are more suited to euope as our players are short arses and ketia is another one.

We are built to pass it.

Keita is the same height as Coutinho

Van Dijk is the same height as Fellaini

short arses in midifeld are not suited to english league head tennis... these **** sides like west brom and utd will try and reduce it to that.

Big tall CBs are good anywhere in any league or competition.
