I tend to agree with the Physical side of things and we are lacking presence there all nice footballers, but we need a bit of grit and there and thought he would have brought it. I thought Watford would always been his choice having played there and close to London. We may have never even been in for him.

Why I think Nacer Cahdli could do a good job. He's classed as a winger but I can see him playing #10 for us

Kaplan and Levien this morning

“As we have stated, we will not be bullied or forced into a decision until a club meets our valuation of the player, no matter whether they believe they have an agreement with the player. Any such agreement would obviously be in contravention of Premier League legislation.“We have the ultimate respect for Gylfi as a person and a player and we are optimistic that he will reconsider his decision and join his teammates"

Worship and obey Everton, try it again and we'll slap you again bitch <laugh> <laugh> <laugh>

Scouse press this morning

"The Welsh side, who claim to have turned down a £40million offer for the player from Leicester City, remain insistent on the eye-watering sum, basing their valuation on the Blues reputed £50million price tag for Ross Barkley"

But it was the Liverpool press, the Liverpool Echo and the Daily Post, who announced to the world that Vverton had made a club record offer in their first editions at dawn, yesterday morning. This after everton had tapped siggy up the previous night.

Does seems like the Liverpool press have been told by their paymasters, that huge club everton, to cool it as Everton try to pull back from the deal. Are Everton about to renege on all the promises they'd made to Siggy?

Everton seemed determined to continue their pursuit of Siggy by fare means or fowl but they didn't account for the absolute kicking we've given them throughout the Saga. Everton has tried everything to get their man but all they've actually got for their considerable trouble is a public slapping from us. Pretty soon these pin stripe clowns will be begging us to take £50m from them just stop the humiliation we've made them endure in front of the entire footballing world.

The ball's firmly in their court and they way it is now they have nothing but a bad deal to look forward too.

Either they agree to OUR demands and the football world sees them being pushed around and forced into paying out a ridiculous amount of money just to save face or they pull out, lose their man and the world sees them for what they are, not a big club, weak and for all the shouting and posturing easily slapped around and schooled by the smarter kids in the yard.

Everton best do something and quick because the longer this goes on the more everyone is laughing at them.

A step in the right direction. Well done to our owners (I think that's the first time I've said that since they took over!) <applause>

Yes it is but imo they still yet to prove their intentions are in the best interest of the Club and not to recoup their money spent on buying the Club.
The acid test surely will be if he goes, what of that fee will be reinvested in replacing him, I don't expect it all to go into the transfer pot, but I would like to see a healthy portion of it.

and me , we still need at least a R Back either to replace Naughton as 1st choice or at least as back up to him, Rangel can't and shouldn't be expected to fill in if Naughton gets a long term injury.

If Siggy goes for £45m plus add-ons, I would hope that the Yanks give Clement at least £36m to invest in the squad.

We will need to replace Siggy
We need at least one winger
We need a right back
We need a another decent centre back

So far we have basically financed the purchase of Mesa by selling Cork & Gomis

Seems we are leaving things late.

Again.

Problem we have is the speed of this deal is not up to us.

Its not over yet by a long shot. What I see is Everton continuing to be as sly as they've been so far. I see them cooling things off and their press going quiet for the rest of the summer. All the time in the background though, they'll remain in contact with Siggy via his agent making Siggy mope his way through the summer. Then, just as the season is about to start, the scouse press will erupt as Everton sneak back with an offer between £30-40m to try to snag the by then extremely unhappy Sigurdsson.

Its win win for Everton, either they get Siggy on the cheap leaving us with a huge hole in our squad or they leave us with a destabilized player and an edgy changing room just as the season is about to start. Either way our preparations will be grossly disrupted and we'll be starting the season off balance.

The only way that's not going to happen is if we put a 'SELL BY' date on Siggy and if Everton do nothing before then follow it up with a very loud and public NOT FOR SALE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES notice.

Looking at the squad that's gone to the USA a centre back is not likely to be on the agenda. The way we played last season unless there is a big change in tactics by Clement we don't need another winger. We do, need another right back and unless Clement thinks Mcburnie can step up to the mark another target man up front. I make no comment about a Siggy replacement as I'm sick of the whole sorry saga

Personally, I think we do need another option at right back.

Similarly, at centre back - not convinced about VdH or Bartley - hope I'm wrong.

As for a winger, it's disappointing to think that Routs & Dyer - players from our first season in the PL - remain our best wing men. There are times when we will need a Plan B and/or Plan C - a fast, tricky winger may provide that.

As for upfront, I'd prefer Bony on loan to McBurnie.
