They ride over 2,000 miles in 3 weeks in the TdF, but we saw a very significant 300 yards today.
On a steep finish to the stage, Aru completed the last 300 yards around 30 seconds quicker than Froome, taking his yellow jersey in the process.
Rare to see Froome crack - even if it was over only 300 yards!
However, it might show that he's not quite as strong as Aru and one or two others on the toughest stages. Fortunately, he has the strongest team around him.
Makes the TdF very interesting this year.

My 4 year old daughter has just told me that Joy Divisions :'Love will tear us apart again' is the best record that she has ever heard. Jesus am I going to have some problems later on.
A song so depressing that it's writer killed himself between penning it and it's release less than a year later.

That's grim<yikes>
Play her the Ramones.
I find kids pick up the catchy tunes very quickly.
It also helps them to learn to count to four<cheers>

Eh ?

He's one of the politest, well mannered, gracious sporting greats there has ever been.
It's a fine line between smugness and self-confidence. For me Federer is the right side of that, but I understand if people see it differently. It is also very unfair that someone can have such a prodigious talent.

Being a sore loser and being smug are not the same. The author could have added his dismissive attitude to Murray when he first appeared. Said his game was all about waiting for others to make mistakes. Not a nice thing to say, but these champions don't like to lose. When Murray loses a final he has a face like a smacked arse, so does Djokovic and rightly so.
