It's quite simple really. If they turn up at the Liberty with a suitcase containing £50 million quid in used notes the deal is done. It's about time they put some cash on the table or f*** off.
Spent a lot of time in Malaga and the surrounding areas , I love southern Spain but it's colourless in terms of greenery .
Morning all....GS update..... http://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/what-exactly-state-play-gylfi-13313696
It may be good business, we haven't seen Messa play yet. We have been through this before sign overseas players think they are great only for it not to work. I am sure it will end up as a good deal for us, but lets wait and see. Personally I liked Cork, but think he probably would have been a bit part player next season, but a bit part player who we knew would work.
I prefer players who use their brains and not run around like headless chickens which, good character that he is, was the type that Cork was, More suited to Burnley than us so as stated elsewhere a good move for both of us.
Problem for Everton, in their arrogance, they slapped a £50m price tag on Barkley even before the transfer window opened expecting someone to bite. You know, I know, they know, their fans know that in the real world Barkley's not worth half that. £50m for a player who's only achievement has been has been his underachievement is ridiculous so Everton have reverted back to type and, aided by scouser press, are doing everything they can to destabilize Siggy and snatch him away. Everton have got all wet from pissing in the wind with their laughable valuation of £50 for Barkley. Thing is, Barkley isn't worth a fraction of his valuation but Siggy is worth every penny of his £50m valuation, especially to us. Regardless of the stats which show that Siggy IS the most effective midfielder in the league, to us he is almost priceless. Without Siggy we be playing in the Championship this season, simple as that. The Swans would have lost its premier league status, tens upon tens of £m's in TV money. The city would have suffered financially also losing tens of £m's and worst of all, they'd have been dancing in the streets around lego land in celebration. Siggy is worth every penny of the £50m we're asking and in truth probably a lot more. Back to Barkley a moment, Question, what price him? what has Barkley done to deserve a £50m price tag?? what has Barkley done for his club??? We've just paid £11m for, if reports are to be believed, an excellent and effective midfielder in Roque Mesa. So, in the real world Barkley, as an ineffective midfielder prone to childishness and tantrums, his true value barely scrapes £10m.
I'd have Bony back in a heartbeat. He didn't know how good he had it here with us, he was a huge favourite with the fans. It didn't work out at Man City, and frankly nobody really wants to go to Stoke. I'd rather him than some untested lower half of La Liga striker.
What he has failed to equate is the value he is to the club. http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/...verton-leicester-swansea-latest-a7837516.html
http://www.insidewelshfootball.co.uk/watford-swansea-tracking-chelsea-chalobah/ that's hell of a deal for just a £5. seriously 5m has to be worth a punt if we could get him.
