I hope you are spot on. Just cant see him being here next year. If he goes we must screw Everton for every penny.

Trunds! We are not going to let the Toffees walk all over us with regard to Siggy, I know for a fact that the club want to keep him, but there will be a price at which we will let him go, and Everton haven't even matched Leicester price of £40 Million, and I doubt they will, I think we will keep him, because last season was a wake up call for the board, by the way pay no attention to the nugget Dineen and his stupid tweets...........<ok>

WOW - if that's not a statement of intent then I don't know what is ?????

Exactly! As I have been saying previously, we are not going to be parting with Siggy lightly, we want to keep him, and I'm quietly confident we will, the Toffees will not pay £50 Million, all they are doing is trying to unsettle one of our players, remember the 'Bode snatchers' and how we handle the Rams under Paul Jewell?................<ok>

If we transfer a player who is a cut above the average we must replace him with a player of the same or better ability or we weaken the team.. All this nonsense about using the money to sign two or three players to strengthen the team is garbage as it doesn't. It might strengthen the squad but surely this is the ultimate aim of the academy. Every team needs at least one or two players above the average and Siggy is one of ours.

His comments about Champions League are more relevant to us and the PL. If he keeps us in the PL - another £100M+ comes into the club. That's why we shouldn't even let him go for £60M.
If you don't make the CL then you still get over £100M, you don't get it so good if you get relegated.

Even if we accepted the £50 Million, watch Jinx accept it in instalments, just like the Bony deal, time we stopped giving credit to the money clubs......<ok>

Forget about who's has the largest ego, the biggest head, the most expensive haircut, the most ridiculous watch and obscene car, just ask, WHO is the most EFFECTIVE midfielder in the premier league. Basing your answer on which midfielder is the most effective (passes, assists, goals), which player has had the biggest impact on their team (Directly won most points), which player has had the most impact on his club (without Siggy we'd be playing inn Championship this season), which player has the best stats throughout the season for his position (measurable, verifiable) in other words which midfielder IS THE MOST EFFECTIVE in the league there is only one winner and by a mile, Gylfie Sigurdsson, has to be.

Regardless on who people THINK is the best, in this case the stats that count don't lie, the most effective midfielder in the land ins Gylfie Sigurdsson.

So if the barely average Pogba is valued at £90M and the abject failure Barkely is valued at £50M, then in comparison I doubt even NASA has access to the money needed to meet the true value of Sigudsson.

Burnley sign Cork.

A true gentleman and one of the good guys I liked him a lot but, with the arrival of Mesa, with Carroll playing so well, the resurgence of Leon, the improvement of KI, with Fer playing pretty solidly and also with Fulton fighting for a spot it was always going to be difficult for him to get a game.

Big thanks JC and good luck at Burnley

There have been no serious bids from the Toffees, and not an inkling of getting serious on it all – which is why there was a message that Swansea won’t be pushed around in all this, that any deal will be on their terms. Terms which happen to come with a fee of £50m. Nice one...........................<ok>
