What happened to the 10m. Still a profit on a player who may well have struggled to get game time next season. I have always liked him as he does put a shift in. so good luck to him.
I thought there was some reference made to add ons as well , but good luck to him , he never let us or himself down
Is this simply because we were linked with him last year. Anybody be happy to sign. http://readwestbrom.com/2017/07/11/swansea-battling-premier-league-clubs-nacer-chadli/
You have to laugh at the Toffees, Barkley is worth £50 Million, but some of them think that Siggy is only worth £20 Million.................
This is one of the main reasons i want the top 6 big clubs to join a European league.....These guys are forcing up wages and transfer fee's to a ridiculous level where it is out of control. I think with these super rich high spenders gone then maybe transfer fees may get back to some sort of normality...We cannot afford to pay obscene wages just to keep a player and it forces us to delve in the lower leagues for players where we should be looking for better quality than that at our stage in our 7th season of premiership football....
Cannot see us continuing on with that 80%, though expanding the stadium will help with general running costs of the club, plus we need to get smarter with the commercial side, which the Yanks have said they want to expand and improve, so we will have to wait and see what will transpire, though there have been a few bad transfers that have skewed the wages bill, mainly Gomiss's outrageous signing on fee and wages, care of Jinx, glad he's off the books, and Baston needs offloading if what the media are reporting that he wants a permanent move to Malaga....................
I've just attended this pre seasons induction for an academy age group and part of the spiel was the Club currently employs 200 coaching/backroom staff for the academy and are currently looking to add another 2 goal keeping coaches .That's a lot of folk dependant in some way on the Clubs' success be it full or part time employment .Now these are not on fantastic wages but all contribute to the fact that wages form a massive loss to the Club only offset by the TV money , a small commercial income from Pic UP Spares etc shirt and season ticket sales. We have to grow just to maintain the level we're at now let alone progress so when 50 million for one player is quoted you can see why the Club would have to be stupid not to accept that kind of money , this isn't just about this season but the future of the Club.
When Cork stole the ball in midfield and manufactured his goal late 2 seasons ago , I thought it was going to be a " Best of Cork "scenario last season . But with the way the whole season unfolded , I think he got lost in the manager shuffle . He will be a top player for Burnley IMO
Most transfer fees are paid in installments and dont forget the owners and directors take their cut as well....
Mesa for Cork has only cost us about £2 million if the fees reported are to be believed. Now that's good business.
