Leeds fan in peace - Think this maybe lazy journalism. Beckford is a class act, who can only get better. Everton are desperately in need of a regular goalscorer, & JB will certainly score enough for them if given enough games. Having left us to better himself, why would he drop down a division unless you're offering him more, even on loan, than he's getting at Everton?

Can't see it myself, especially as you're not guaranteed to be getting auto promotion this year. Apart from the two games against us, I wish you all well. Given the money you're spending, the pressure must be on you to have guaranteed auto by Feb/March time. Good luck with that!! You'll need it.

We pulled out of signing Mackail-Smith because David Nugent agreed to sign for us. I would prefer Nugent anyway

There is no way Everton would sell a man who predominantly played from the bench and scored 10 goals for 3million

Beckford moved to Everton because he wasn't getting any younger and wanted a crack at premiership football, now he's had the best 1st season he could hope for why would he drop back to the championship when he has plenty of positives to build on from last season?

Also Moyes is strapped for cash, Beckfords pretty much the last fit decent striker they have, 3million will make no difference to Moyes, he won't be able to sign anyone half as good with that

Lazy journalism as usual, must be getting quiet.

That is what I thought happened - remember my mate telling me that he chose them because he wanted to remain the big fish in the small pond.

Another trying to get us to pay over the odds for a player just because we have money...no wonder we haven't signed a striker yet.
