Well, do you think that the SPL is a brutal league? By the way, I'm comparing the PL against the other top leagues in Europe. Nobody cares about the championship
Can't comment on SPL, since I have never seen any games. " Nobody cares about the championship ". Well, you may not care, but countless others do.
I watch quite a bit of SPL and I wouldn't have said this in years gone by as it used to be a tidy league with tidy teams. Now what I see is take Celtic out of it and the rest are mid to top end L1 clubs. I know others will argue, just my opinion.
Any news regarding Bartley? He was awful for us imo under Monk, but with a full season in the champ where he apparently performed very well, maybe he's now ready to make the step up. However Bartley and Mawson as a cb pairing is a very young line-up and could be a bit of a risk in such an unforgiving league. Interesting times.
I know what you mean but I was thinking that facing so much competition to start might put him off going.
Just read that it will be announced early in the week that Siggy has moved to Everton for 30m, what the **** is wrong with us letting him go for that. If it is actually true which it looks like it is. Why haven't we held out for more money. I knew the board will take any reasonable offer the money grabbing ****ers. 30m short term, potential 70m loss. Just seen this as well. https://evertonthat.com/2017/07/09/mirror-everton-complete-30mil-sigurdsson-deal/#more-214
32m is derisory!! Huw needs ****ing shooting, as soon as we get a half decent offer, he's like a dog on heat and takes it. When will he ever drive a hard barging and stat getting true value for our players.
If that's true I am disgusted . Everton reportedly want £46 mrll for Barkley who is nowhere near as effective in my book.
NS spot on but we always undervalue our players despite what one person says on here. If Siggy had been at West Ham or say saints, they would have got 40 plus. We just cop out and take the easy money.
Gylfi you might as well say he is gone, For £130k/week he will be in the first team and as he is a greedy twat then we will end up a distant memory within a day....Tammy i hope can adjust very quickly to premiership football which will be a big ask......Llorente will have already packed his bags by now also so we had better start recruiting pretty sharpish with a couple of strikers and at the very least 3 defenders and a keeper. We want a full squad by the time we play on the 15th July and so far we have just two new players....
We have signed 3 actually, Abrahams on loan, messa and Erwin Mulder the keeper. Do agree though going to need a lot more now as we lose our 2 main men.
I think the Rooney signing might have opened a lot of other Premier League doors , who weren't going to jump in against Everton . My guess is he will still go , but not to Everton and not for as much as Everton was willing to pay . 38 million or something , with a huge wage contract . Hope I'm wrong .
