I think he is young enough to go and prove you wrong. Players sometimes develop and get better with age so a bit early to write him off.
wakka doesn't understand what the word "develop" means. Lucas is still crap in his eyes.

It depends on the manager what "going on loan" means.
With Rafa it was the kiss of death. It's what he did to players he didn't really want to keep but was waiting for their value to increase before selling them. I don't think that is necessarily going to be true for Dalglish. Both good managers- but both very different in philosophy too.
Flanny made a lot of mistakes this past weekend- two could have been goals, one was. Sure, he's young, we can't be too harsh on him- doesn't mean he won't develop- but he's not ready to be in the first team starting line up- not for a team with aspirations of a top-4 finish.
I think Flanny could do a job from the bench- but he should not be starting... a loan deal would however benefit him and us.
It was a bit of a lesson on throwing youngsters in and just hoping they won't make mistakes. They do and some take it quite badly. All eyes are currently on De Gea and look at the crap Insua and NGog took because they weren't boy wonders like Owen and Fowler, developing at a normal rather than a precocious pace.
Anyway, John Coleman said he'd spoken to Rodolfo recently about loans and was told the club won't be loaning out young players anymore, not the ones we intend to develop.
Agreed. Also, you would expect them to be coached to a level more consistent with that which we would require from them. Learning how to play to a middling Championship standard means they still have a big step up to make back in the Prem.Thats why it would be better if we could loan to PL teams so that the spotlight would be on them alot of the time. Also the alternative to this is that if they dont look like they will be improving they have still essentially put themselves in the shop window. Its a win-win situation for the parent club.
How the hell are you Hoke? You're up early today. Is it hot and steamy down there in the Carolinas?
Hi RHC,
Doing great... had been staying busy- but hit a quiet patch at work- so decided to check the forums out whilst waiting. It's been pretty-darn hot here. We went for two weeks in a row with the daily highs getting above 100F every day. (getting up to about 38C-40C). Rest of the summer has been getting above 30C. Hot, dry... I've got a nice grey-brown lawn. Cooled down a bit as of late... only about 30C now.
How are things with the collider?
Red Baron,
No sorry, not a yank, I'm a Brit... kinda. I was born and lived my childhood in England. Half English and half Eastern European. I have lived my adult life in the US though.

I think like any country- it depends where you are. I like where I used to live in the US. Work took me to a different part of the state.
The city I live in now (Columbia, SC) is a bit of a cesspool- rednecky, rundown and without sufficient infra-structure to support the population (I loved the last city I lived in though, used to live in Greenville, SC, great, attractive, well-planned small city!)- but yes, overall I like the US, and South Carolina. I wouldn't say better or worse than England- there are advantages and disadvantages to both.
I've lived in the US so long- I probably wouldn't recognise England any more.
Wakka is a bit strange, keeping an eye on this one.
