Konta come through a brutal match to move on the the next round.

Murray against a player I really like: Brown. Played so well. Brown has so much calm and style, some of those games and rally's were unreal. To win in straight sets in a game like that is very impressive. Everyone saying he isn't fit for the tournament, look pretty silly at the moment.

Watching Rafa at the moment. For someone "gradually coming back" he looks brutal and ruthless! He's looking so slick.

Heather Watson also comfortably won her match, not a bad day for the Brits at Wimbledon.
Good point, sorry mate. Should have mentioned that. She's done really well too. So nice to see not everyone go out first round apart from Murray! Bit more excitement this year. Konta looks like he could go far is things go for her.

But he is NOT fully fit, he has a hip injury, he is definitely limping round the court but plays through the pain when necessary! <ok>

Yep, but they were saying he could go out first round, he wouldn't have the fitness to perform etc etc. That's what I was talking about.

What channel is Nadal on? can't find it.

Edit. Never mind, found it.

I was watching the first set, went outside to do a couple of chores, came back in and there is a womens match on. They must have just stopped or switched it. It's not on the red button, I just looked. No idea why Nadals games not on anymore. That game was great.

It is on the red button, you then have to press the blue button to pick the match.

I missed it at first too. Think Nadal will win Wimbledon this year, looks back to his best.
He looks stunning. But I did miss Federer and Novak because of the early retirements. Massive bonus for both of them this year. So dunno how they look this year.

This is one of the things I hate about Wimbledon coverage on the BBC, they switch the match to a different channel too many times :headbang:

Must admit I far prefer cricket but sat glued to Konta vs Vekic yesterday. One of those where it's tempting to roll out the old cliché "shame there has to be a loser".
Three sets of gripping, absorbing high quality tennis.
Poor Donna was in floods of tears as she walked off, too :( :emoticon-0106-cryin <wah>

It was a cracking match - totally absorbing with two well-matched players duking it out. Worthy of the final in my opinion.

Indeed so. I was torn, too as I am British by birth (though not desperately proud of the fact) but also I adore all things Croatian - yes, even their smattering of decent tennis players <ok>
