I quite like Burnsey, but I have felt with both Phelan & Marco Silva his interview style changed to be a bit arrogant. Don't know whether these 2 awards as best local radio presenter has gone a bit to his head.
I think we need to get used to the idea of seeing young players from premiership clubs here on loan doing pretty much the same as that is all we are going to get plus some foreign imports and of course we still have Diomande
Think Brucey wanted to sign him permanently didn't he? Hard to tell with young kids who's going to make it. Brady Stewart and king. I thought king was absolute ****e when he was here. Pushed it one side and ran the other often into touch. Look how he's developed. Looks excellent now. Stewart's probably at pub league level now. Brady should be better than burnley.
Surely the point is if we get loanees we need to secure those who have already had decent championship experience. Stewart obviously wasn't going to make it (too lightweight) and Josh King was too young to make any difference. All he had when he played for us was potential.
Hayden would have played more if not for the surprising, unexpected return of Livermore after 4-5 months.
I seem to remember Brucey saying he'd like him back, as I thought it odd at the time, as he rarely played him. It's funny how things turned out with the Man United lads, at the start it was Chester and Stewart who looked the pick of the bunch. Remember how we laughed at Leicester offering £1m for Stewart? He's been unemployed for over a year now.
Hope I am wrong but I can't see it Driff. He has said himself he thinks the premiership suits his game better. I think by that he needs more time to get the ball under control and then look up to see his options then to control it again before prioritising his options before controlling it again and then getting ****ing hammered before he can make the pass (the term "pass" used as a generalisation as he aint that good at that either).
Why do you get more time on the ball in the prem? Seen it said many times, but i don't know why I would have thought you'd be pressed and harried quicker nevermind slower
