I'm beginning to doubt Slutski's excellent relationship with Abramovic.

He knows him through work, that's all.


I know loads of people through work.

None of the ****ers ever give me resources to make my job a piece of piss however.


Even when it's their ****ing job to.

I dont doubt their relationship, I do think Slutskys targets were perhaps unrealistic. He's tried to attract players way out of our league and he's realised its not that easy bringing certain players to Hull.

I guarantee Bruce was looking at different level players in the Championship from when he was in the Premier League.

He'd have accepted 5k. He didn't have anything to accept in the end.

Rybus is primarily a winger, at least he was in Russia. I don't know if Lyon used him as a LB, but he didn't feature for them much last season. Presumably he would be a loan from Lyon, we couldn't afford those wages in the Championship.

I'm sure I'd read he was a LWB.
 
It's always been hard to attract players here because of our location but we've always managed to attract players good enough. However when you throw the Allams into the mix it complicates things a little more as I'm sure slutsky has found out.
All we can do is hope
