I've got high hopes for Will Keane. It's his big chance to establish a first team role and match his twin's achievements.
We will need at least 3 Cb (we need 4 Cb in squad ) 2 lb (will have none when Robbo goes) 1 Rb 1 dm (need 4 dm in the squad ) 3 wingers 2 strikers (I expect us to lose Robbo, Elmo, a keeper and Abel) I think we will use the full 5 loan spots, and sign 5 or 6 players
I don't know if you're confusing what I think we need for promotion and what I think our owners will give us. I think we've got cat in hell's chance of another tight back signing, the owners will look at Odubajo, Lenihan and Elmo and think we're laughing. I fully expect the whole bench, save for perhaps the keeper, to be homegrown players.
Fair one mate. I think we will invest in building a promotion seeking team. I think Ehab will have listened to MS feedback and seen the sorry state we were in last season and learn from it. And by that I don't mean Ehab will suddenly develop some love for the club, just that he wants his greedy little mitts on £100m , and knows he won't get that in the championship.
Agreed, Elmo will be off soon and Odubajo and Lenihan are sick notes so that's about as much a priority as LB. 2-3 CBs also a priority.
Sadly CCH, I think you've underestimated the outgoings.... you forgot Clucas and Grosicki and potentially because he's cheap Thud..... and as has been said we have zero right backs really as it stands, so we need at least 2 of them.... and based on our past record we need 6 strikers collectively they might reach 25 goals for the season... Lastly re your listened to MS comment, patently you have great faith in Escab, because nothing including the appointment of Slut has given me any confidence in him listening, engaging or giving two flying ****s other than how much they can milk this club for.
I don't think Clucas will go, Grosicki will only go at a good price and can't see many paying. Thud may possibly go, but I think it would need to be the right club for him. I have no faith whatsoever in Ehab, other then he is a greedy little toad and will want his £100m. Greed is a powerful motivator and he knows a premiership club is easier to sell then a languishing club with no assets (ie no quality players and no grounds). As for Slutsky, other then Monk, he is the only manager I would have been happy with out of the list we were linked too
I have no problem with Slut CCH and I genuinely hope he does brilliantly. I've liked very much what he has said, but i'm already feeling sorry for him!!! I personally feel his appointment wasn't motivated necessarily by immediate promotion back to the Premiership (perhaps in part) more, the potential loanees, meaning finances could be managed easier (salaries) and certainly the exposure to people in Russia to whom £100 million would be loose change.
Fair point, and hopefully attracting russian investors may be a part of the plan. Still think Ehab will make us competitive though, Russian 's nor anyone else will buy a poorly placed club with no assets. I am certain the draw of loans will have played a part in his appointment as will his contacts
Not that I'm saying we're signing anyone but do we usually announce them on a certain day? Seem to remember reading that on here in other years.
"Ehab will make us competitive" Lmfao, he'll be lacing up his boots next no doubt. Polo boots that is. If we're competitive it's despite Ehaw's incompetence, not as a result of him.
