Marco wanted signings straight away and hardly got anything til towards the end. Unless you're signing run of the mill ****e, the better players are in demand, still on ****ing holiday and probably not even available yet.

If it gets to the Friday before the first game of the season maybe then it will be a bit worrying.

I'm not so sure there's been much player movement with any other championship clubs has there?
Mickey Quinn was nearly having a breakdown on talksport this morning because the geordies haven't signed anyone

I think your forgetting we released a hell of alot of players at the end of the season and ar ein the process of selling more , which kind of creates abit more urgency with us compared to other teams, coupled with the fact we want to be promoted we better get our fingers out

I hadn't forgotten but this is Ehab, he won't want to pay a player from July 1st if he can string it out untill August 1st

Hardly groundbreaking.

Any genuinely decent signings amongst that lot?

For the time being we have mostly a decent squad in need of centre halves with the departures. Other players might never depart which would leave us looking for just one or two key additions.

I really don't see the rush to hit panic buttons yet.

At the minute a couple of centre backs left & right back. Midfield we are decent for championship and a couple of forwards.

Admitadly we could still lose a few but until then we have a good starting point

I'm still suprised Abel hasn't been linked with anyone

get someone younger and with more ability.
he was hardly an impact player off the bench.
can we please get rid of Meyler too?
****ing useless under the last two managers.
mind you, they were failures..........
so he might come good under Slutsky - I'm not holding my breath tho'

Meyler is probably the nearest thing that we have to Ashbee at the club, he could be the clubs heartbeat for next season, so don't talk like a **** Patty.

the difference being that Ashbee had ability.
Meyler reminds me of one of those bumper things in a pinball machine.......... as soon as the ball gets there, there is no guarantee where the balls gonna rebound to.

Is that the same Ashbee who had to endure comments at the beginning of every season in which ever division we had found ourselves in, that he too had no ability and wouldn't be up to it, only for him to well and truly ram it down the unbelievers throats?
