I think theres a few moves there to go before he does. He is their second choice IMO the bonucci/sandro story is real and they won't be buying van dijk until that fails.
The Reds were reported to be considering making a €10m bid to sign the 23-year-old striker but now face competition from Arsenal who have also joined the race to sign Laborde, claim Foot Mercato.
Gaëtan Laborde is the name in the link. no clue about him but i sincerely doubt arsenal are in as they are getting lacazette.
Schalke to sign replacement for Liverpool target Meye Liverpool want to add some more talent and creativity to their midfield ahead of the new season and ESPN believe that they are interested in signing Schalke’s Max Meyer, but face competition from Tottenham for his signature
I'm somewhere in the middle with salah. I'm not 100% convinced on him, but I do think he has everything needed to do well. For me VVD is the one I want to see here the most
Exactly the same, just find it frustrating that he's being labeled the saviour by some (or at least it seems that way). Pogba ripped that league to bits but he's been **** since returning. Being ex-Chelsea isn't great but I appreciate there are a lot of ex-Chelsea players that gave gone on to do very well
Playing for Chelsea is not like a dose of the pox you know.... not everyone's wife got ****ed by jt.....
The election thread has been locked, thank god. Just think we should reinforce the no politics or religion in the the pub rule.
Hughes to Watford. Initial 4.5m rising to 7. Could be a bargain. Been bit meh though injury last year or so but before that was very highly rated and still only young.
German international Max Meyer has come on to Liverpool’s transfer radar after rejecting a contract offer from current club Schalke. ESPN are reporting that Liverpool retain an interest in German international midfielder Max Meyer. The Schalke playmaker has rejected a new contract offer from the club opening the door for a summer transfer. Tottenham are leading the pursuit but Jurgen Klopp’s strong Bundesliga connections have also put us in the picture.
Liverpool transfer news and rumours: Reds 'refuse to give up on Virgil van Dijk - but the price has gone up again' http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/liverpool-transfer-news-rumours-reds-10683994
Alternatives then? Its all well and good saying don't buy X, but not offering a realistic alternative.
We're entitled to an opinion on a player we've been linked to and have an idea of how good he is. People don't have to cone up with alternatives because they think the player we've been linked to is a bad deal. We're not scouts
It's relative though. If we get £40m for Sahko instead of £25m it would be easier to pay £70m. Let's be honest, football money has been obscene for a long time.....nobody should be worth such money but as long as we pay to watch it, it isn't going to stop......and it will continue to increase. So for me, why not pay for VvD if that's what Klopp wants. Someone will. It may as well be us.
But we all also have opinions on how to improve our squad and problem areas, so it would be nice if people offered said opinion on such matters. It might be a bad deal at the price, but whos a better deal, is there a better deal? Just ignoring certain problems means we end up with Milner playing at LB.
