If they say you're not allowed to work because of a visa does anyone actually sit around for 2 weeks? They can't stop him from talking to players and targets!

He flew back to Hull today, but he can't actually start work yet, as it takes two weeks to get a visa.

Which, ironically, means he'll probably start work on the same day as Phil Parkinson did in 2006. <whistle>

Yes of course, for these 3 weeks extra he is sitting on his arse on the beach doing nothing. Just like all club managers do right up to the first day of pre season training.

I mean, if they're not on a pitch then they're obviously not working.

Unnecessary mention of chip spice
No normal person has it on chips when they're having them with fish
It's purely for 'fries' with a burger or pizza or suchlike

True and this has been decreed on here previously.

Only an animal, barbarian or perhaps some sort of builder type would attempt to slap it on chippy chips.

Any half decent chippy would stop you from doing that anyway.

"Then I'll be back to Russia for 1-2 days to get VISA. I was said that it tooks two weeks to get it."
Even in Russian I couldn't understand this. Maybe it's now processing and when he comes back for 1-2 days it will be already done?

Seems unlikely though because they would need his passport as part of the visa application surely, therefore meaning he couldn't travel. It is a bit odd.

Exactly. Job VISA can't be given without the contract. He needs to show the contract and wait for two weeks after that. Got it like that. It's difficult to understand even for native russian speakers :)

You go to the British embassy in Russia, complete the forms and show your passport, you application then gets processed, this can take a couple of months or can be fast tracked. You are free to travel to the country but cannot work until your work visa has been approved.

It's common practice in most contries, I have done it several times for different places.

Not exactly true, an offer of employment will suffice in most cases, you don't actually need a job. The offer of employment is often referred to as "sponsorship" - as in the company "sponsoring " is confirming they will be offering you employment, you meet the skills gap (where applicable ), and basically shows you will have means to support yourself

And yours did the same and autocorrected peas to mayo

...unless you're weirder than I thought
Peas are expelled fro the arse of Satan himself.

Mushy peas are offensive.

Adding mint to them should be made a crime.

Slutski will be doing bits and will hit the road running. Am actually excited for next season.
