If you note what's going on at a.c. Milan this means Newcastle are the new man city.

Liverpool are among the Premier League teams interested in signing Sweden U21 international of Nigerian descent Joel Asoro in the summer transfer window.

The Sunderland Echo claims Southampton, Everton and Liverpool are all looking at Asoro, but it is Arsenal who are in pole position to snap him up from Sunderland.

Reacting to reports linking him with a move to these teams, Asoro told Fotbollskanalen : ''It's crazy. I've heard that the clubs are interested, but then they do not know if it's more than that.

''It is clear that it is always fun that teams like Arsenal show interest. It raises self-esteem, but I can not run around and think about it now.

''I'm in the Euro and maybe there would have been another thing if I had been in England. Now I'm here and try to think about it.''

Well, Arsenal have signed one player thus far, a LB, which isn't going to make a huge difference to their other more obvious frailties (CM, CB and Striker).
Not to mention that they still might lose their best player in Sanchez, the only reason they were even a threat at the end of last season.

Man U, who knows. Depends on how Maureen has them play. Get rid of Zlatan (for good and not bring him back as suggested) and offload Rooney and they'll have even more money to spend as those two take up a large weekly wage.

In terms of us, we need to get the **** on with it. Cause there are a number of areas that need sorting this summer.

Yes you need quality but you also need to bulk your squad up a bit if you wanna compete in the league and CL.

Think he'd certainly do a job. He's quick, skilful & direct so right up Klopps street too.

He's actually a pretty decent player. The only thing is his end product is a bit shady but that is a super defensive Soton side and he has the likes of 1 striker to feed in shane long and charlie austin

I do believe if we get him for that price we use all our frequent buyer points though.
Tried to use them on VvD - Klopp thought Southampton were just an extension of his team but he was wrong
Nearly forfeited them, but sent an apology instead
 
Liverpool should part with no more than £145million for their top three transfer targets this summer - according to one of Europe’s most respected football researchers.
The Reds had identified Virgil van Dijk, Naby Keita and Mohamed Salah as three prospective signings this summer.
While negotiations with Roma over Salah have stalled, it is expected Keita’s club, RB Leipzig, will ask for over £50million for the Guinean midfielder.
The Reds’ pursuit of van Dijk is well documented, with the club publicly pulling out of a deal following Southampton’s threats of reporting the club to the Premier League.
But with the Dutchman now rated at around £75million, it means Liverpool would have to part with around £165million to acquire the trio.
 
Keita looks like he's worth breaking the bank for. Salah looks very likely to happen for £35mil.

**** VVD we just move on.
