It was always Thursday or Saturday night Ku club for me, not or never was a goth, but it was easy pickings.
Newcastle was a good hunting ground too mind, but only managed a year or two going out there before moving for uni - was able to get into clubs in S'land from around 15. God bless your bouncers

Showing my age here but Friday night at the beer keller in Newcastle, never failed and never got a name.

and as one of your lot pointed out if this is the case we'll look back on this as a positive.
i myself remember the dark days of the 80's and the then boards attitude of if it can be sold flog it pocket the money and **** what the fans think (a bit like fat ash now)
