With feckin' Dettol, mate. Honestly, I don't know who signed that off, but I would like ten minutes alone with him....

Bri said we're not part of the elite so we just get handed a strip. No reason to dispute that if it's true.

But it just sounds really bloody wierd if that's the contract we've sign up to, along with other clubs.

How can we all just be handed a strip and have no input?

Don't have any input, but we do have output and I shall wipe my arse with that shirt

Adidas tend to do 'templates' for all clubs bar the big ones.

We had the exact same kit as Britol City in 13/14 bar badge/sponsors.

On another note why have you lot gone for the plain back? Thought that was a PL rule for next season, or have FL adopted it too?

**** rule btw...

I regard shirts as a symptom of the problem. When the design twats lose sight of the club they're designing for, it makes you think that the business side has taken over the football side.

These contracts the clubs all sign probably have so many general stipulations as to make specifics by club irrelevant.

So we all end up with strips designed by committee, and as an appealing as a camel.

You're footballing and club knowledge is way, way above my head Sid, but that last sentence sounds incredibly naive.

I agree. I am a bit old-fashioned about footy as I go back to the days before the game started selling itself out. Our only real chance of success these days is to hope a sugar daddy comes in with half a billion quid he's prepared to piss up the wall. In the meantime, every penny is extracted from the fans without any consideration for the value of what we're expected to pay for. We play in red and white stripes FFS. It's not hard to get that right, but no, this'll do and it's fifty quid for the privilege, squire...

Yeh. That's exactly the way it is.

It was inevitable the day the PL was created. It was always only ever gonna be about money after that.

It's hard to believe that there's someone out there, working for Adidas, who is actually being paid for designing shirts that are far uglier than something any random bloke off the street could manage. I can live with the thin stripes but the red back screams of insanity.
