DTLW says Tory since 1851 or something. He's saying that Emily Maitlis is wrong. Anyone going to tell her.?
I looked it up; I think they're both technically correct. Appears the district was reconstituted in 1918, so it effectively has been Conservative since its beginnings. But the constituency that existed previous had a Conservative MP from 1851 forward.
