It was Southampton that ****ed up they have unsettled their own player. The Premier league is not going to take any action against Liverpool.
I never hated ayre.... got sick of him finally after one too many tbings like many but never hated. But edwards... hes not up to the job and killing my beloved club. Its a disgrace hes anywhere near the job he is in at any club let alone a premier league one. He is our equivilant of appointing joe kinnear.
I cannot believe we've ****ed this up. Why can't we like Carra said just do our business quietly and not publicise it until it is done. Was it to force Southampton hand to get VVD to declare that he'd love to play for us or to lower their asking price? For some of us to now say good riddance and that he's a player we never rated anyway make us look slightly ridiculous. Let's be honest. How can we deny that he is a player that we needed and Klopp was desperate to acquire? He is quality and to many better than stones. He would have been a clear improvement on our current players and an indication that we are prepared to at Iast spend big for our campaign in the CL and PL. We have to learn from this c0ck up. Whoever did this in the communications department need to sorted.
Yep, he's quality and we've cocked it up. The only thing I'll hold onto to make me feel better if that I think that if we had just made an approach Southampton would have slapped a massive price tag on him and we wouldn't have met it anyway. They don't have to sell so will only accept a massive over for him. It's about time that clubs and players started doing this properly. Club bids. Other club declined and tells the player. Player then plus in a transfer request. Fee is set. Club then decided to meet the fee or not. Player and club discuss terms. It's not hard so stop making it so.
The press contributed to the collapse of VVD's transfer. Sometime the media say something they know little about. It is only a cooling off period, I do not believe it is over
Liverpool pulling away from Virgil van Dijk is part of a wider pattern and FSG should be asking themselves why http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/...l-transfer-news-virgil-van-dijk-a7778201.html
In other news.... Costa - I am not wanted at Chelsea. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/40197827 Lukaku incoming and Costa going to China but using AM as an excuse to take the pay check.
It won't be immediately, but I think we will find ourselves with a transfer ban. At least it won't affect our normal January business

Big difference between Southampton ****ing up and Southampton making a stand. I'd put this in the second of the two brackets.
this is nice ok.. and in a non... well... corrupt world this might even work. the reality however is you now it seems need to be sure a player will join you (and you can't ****ing trust anyone) before you bid or you will just be used as leverage and you waste time and you know the next bid on a player in same position knows he's not first choice If it were Just Liverpool and southampton involved that might even work but its not Its Southampton pretending they are saints (pun intended) but playing the game just as much as anyone else. Its 3/4 other clubs sniffing round, its agent, its player (who signed a contract as saints fans rightly state) and LFc... all parties are out for themselves so the club following the above process will just get done over what really happens is Club bids OR media or agent makes up a bid Other club tells all other parties what bid is to drum up interest. other club or interested parties inform media if not done already Other club don't get back to Club bidding Players starts dropping hints First club has no idea what will get player until players agent starts asking for cahs to grease the wheels and so forth and so on This is a dirty business. what the saints fans don't seem to realise is their club just blew it cos no player will sign for them without realising that they can get trapped pretty fast here.... Its like spurs fans not realising daniel levy runs a tight ship but the types of players they can lay their hands on are getting limited as he's proven to hard to work with for agents etc I would predict there are agents out there right now giving the steer away from southampton for their talents, be it managers players etc cos they can place them and move them easier elsewhere. You can ALWAYs get a player though... its just you get a lesser player who doesn't see the blockage as an issue.
then you'd be wrong cos there will be consequences both ways. LFC "made a stand" on suarez. it worked out well enough WE THINK but the reality is how many rejections have we had since from players? peopel don't seem to see that. LFc gave suarez a new contract and he then went to a world cup and ENSURED he was getting out of it. I shudder to think what would have happened if we'd refused barca if he'd not been a dick in the world cup. what would he have done in mid august?
i can call bull on this one as this story was out two days before the van dijk explosion. plus he's not any update on anything....
Jimmy you can drop the optimist stuff now.. its not going to be any fun to play that game when you are just digging a hole for yourself
