All major outlets reporting it. Gist of it is - 'Paul Joyce: Virgil van Dijk wants to join Liverpool this summer. Liverpool will now attempt to negotiate what will be a world record deal for a defender with Southampton. Fee could reach around £60m.'
The issue with him declaring interest in only one club is that it essentially ends the bidding war. I expect him to go for something in the £40m range, maybe into £50m with add-ons.
While I think we all want the managerial/VVD/ownership situations to be sorted in the next we all know that at least one of them will still be rumbling on late August which is going to screw up our preparation for the new season.
Someone else on the Liverpool board posted this gem 'To be honest, we are a much bigger club than Man City or Chelsea in terms of support, Klopp is at the same level as Guardiola and Conte, and we have money to spend this summer due to our negative net spend gamble last summer.'

He has apparently told them that Liverpool is his preference. Not clear if that is IF he leavers or that he wants to leave now but I would guess the latter.
Whilst I expected him to leave I am pretty disappointed in him and doubly so if Liverpool.
He was made captain.
