You really think she is going to make ridiculous claims about what she will do when she knows she will have to back them up shortly? Corbyn can promise the earth knowing he won't have to deliver.
I believe today he has said he would set up a commission to look into things, that should create a few jobs for his mates and maybe produce some kind of report in about 15 years.

Can't stand Corbyn, and it now looks like he'll lose by 50 seats rather than 100, but he has, in my opinion, crucially ruined her and politicised 100,000's of u25's that were never to going to get involved. Take the manufactured horror at Paul Mason's reasonable jibe that Alice the Goon ducks all debates and pre-fixed questioning because of her diabetes, especially in the Sun and DM, withh It's effete, Russell Grand Prince, Quentin Watts. Yet these are outlets that have thought it proper politics to expose with the most stringent questioning the suitability of Commrade Corbyn to govern. They're now in the final week of campaigning, and admitting hypocrisy, never mind spotting it, is obviously fanciful.

You know, I, just like those young folk, might actually get off my area to vote, not because he's any good, but because I now truly see what total garbage she is. Strong and stable my ****ing arse.

I think she has done the right thing here, she has much bigger things on her mind than scoring cheap points on a reality TV show.
Brexit and terrorism are real, you can't afford to make wild promises about them unless you know you are never going to be in a position to be held to them, just like spending money that doesn't exist.

Are you serious Diego? May is so weak and can't even stick to what she has decided. I've seen more Turns from her than when Ashley Young hits the deck.

As for her concentrating on Brexit and Terrorism, pish i don't think she is. She's just dropping her load at the prospect of getting pushed out as her campaign is failing miserably.

Ah, the magic money tree thing that was used as such a withering put-down to the nurse who'd had an effective 40% pay cut. Well, our national debt has grown from £1tn to £1.7tn in seven years. And that includes getting bab 100's of billions back from the financial sector that Labour bailed out. But if the staff on the payroll in teaching, nursing, councils, social care, etc haven,t got more than 1%, then who has? Gee whizz, it appears there are millions of percents to be made out of managing and directing privatised parts of the public sector ( it's more efficient, don't you know? Er, that argument never holds up to scrutiny when judged by EFFECTIVENESS) such as G4S and social care home s. Stand up Softy Walter May - you don't have diabetes - you can debate your missus ' policies, as you, and the Tories friends in the city, are the main beneficiaries of them.

So they will leave the country and take the jobs they provide with them, great idea.
The government is not meant to help personal finances, it is meant to run the country and there is much more to that than being Robin Hood.
You will learn more about real life as you get older <ok>

anyone watching Paul Nuttall Speak on the BBC election thingy.

Although i can sense borderline racism in the way he addressed the Muslim guys concern, he's actually pretty well spoken.

There actual policies are not that bad, just the standard more money for education, more money for security etc etc. Things that stood out is net migration of zero.

Lower corporation tax but he will have an extra 12 billion to spend from no foreign aid.

Apart from being a scumbag over lying about Hillsborough and that the racists will be voting for his party, i can see why it is tempting for people who are worried to vote for him. Their policies are pretty much labour minus the lower taxation and the migration (so the tories i'm alright jack but at UK level but no austerity).

Oh also he wants a Burka ban which obviously is not very tolerant. Justified it as better for integration, no hiding from CCTV cameras so a bit weak. Although he did throw in that actually France, Belgium and a few other places have the ban and supposedly Germany are going to be to which i thought was a good argument.

It would be curious as to how UKIP would run the country if they did actually get in because he talks a good game. Whether i'd be whisked away into a labour camp or whether they'd actually do a decent job

<laugh> oh please I wish they had the balls, it would be amazing if they left, they create **** all.

The economy is a mess because more and more wealth is being concentrated in the richest people. That in itself wouldn't even be so bad if they had the decency to spend some of it and stimulate the economy, but it's just being squirreled away in offshore accounts and hidden from the tax man.

I think UKIP would do a decent job, the problem is that the other party's are afraid so threw the R word at them to make people ashamed of looking at their policies.

Myth 4: We need to pay high salaries to attract and retain talent in the UK

Our case studies show that high salaries don’t necessarily reflect talent. Even if they did, it is not clear that the best and brightest would be prepared to uproot their families and hike across the world for higher wages. The evidence suggests that more equal countries manage to retain their fair share of innovation and cultural capital.

Myth 7: If we tax the rich, they will take their money and run

Intuitively we understand that decisions on whether to emigrate are far more complex than how much people earn. They depend on a multitude of factors – not only financial circumstances but also cultural familiarity, environment, proximity to friends and family, and quality of public services.

So actual economic studies, whereas you just swallow the same lines you've been fed since Thatcher

It's a brilliant tactic I suppose, usually in arguments people make claims and the response is "but what's your source?"

I actually give you a source, such as the fact that bankers are a net drain on society in the link above, or this link here about how £13 trillion is hidden offshore https://www.theguardian.com/business/2012/jul/21/global-elite-tax-offshore-economy and you just respond with "yeah but that's just a fact someone else has told you"

    <laugh>

Sisu would be jealous of that level of #delusion

You really don't do a counter argument to facts, do you? You peddled a myth that was demolished in the Ragged Trousered Philanthropists, and even more clinically here by Astro, and can only reply with a flail about authorship. Are you May's scriptwriter? No wonder she's hiding behind a blood-sugar wall..

Everyone can make up plausible ****.

the election is about figuring out who's lies are least stupid and what they will really do

    UKIP are evil.

    the greens are half communist

Labour are in the unions pockets (hence making railways public companies again etc etc) and will promise anyhting

The tories are looking after the 1%

    .................................

for me you can dress up "reasonable" stuff like le pen did in france and leave what you would really do unsaid. its easy and safe press a few buttons like burkas to stimulate liberaltards who think thats burkas are the root of all evil when you are actaully saying you'll hang them all form lampposts and burn the mosques.

Lets be clear... Hitler (dropping the hitler bomb ends all arguments) and his like didn't say we will brun synagogues and kill all jews while they were running for the chancellory in germany in 1920s did they?

    what happened?

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kristallnacht

read about it. You want the police standing back while people burn the mosques and businesses owned by muslims?

UKIP are scum. the line that what is ukip for after brexit is a good one... why hasn't mr Farage REALLY retired.. simply cos that party is not about the EU that was just an excuse. the next logical step is to start in on the muslim issue now that poles have to "go home" according to the filth who started abusing tem the day after the vote.

it won't end and that party won't go away.

<laugh>. I really like how you put all that in your MITO-esque way and the way you have described the parties is hilarious.

I don't think i can disagree with anything that you've said though lol

    you liked that :)

the first bit was just total rubbish deliberately.

the rest of it was taking it to extremes to make a point.

I think everyone should make sure they find the best odds possible on an increased tory majority and bet on it. This is because I think the pools are total BS... however they do indicate one fact consistently; The tory vote is absolutely steady through out. On e the other side I see this flood of people to labour from undecided etc. IMO come voting these people will evaporate and the tories will get their majority.

I really think that while there is a large portion who are anti brexit (as in the 48% ignored by tories) these still have to look at corbyn and go vote. I just think combine that with first past the post and the toreis won't feel a blood bath.

the reason i think this is the local elections showed no sign of this flood to labour so... will it really be different nationally?
