Mark my words.... come august there could be hugely unhappy lfc fans when city and utd have hugely improved sides and we have signed what amount to cast offs.

As i have said many times i have zero faith in this guy and my only hope is klopp will tell them to get lost instead of walking himself.

Regarding VVD, is he really the absolute top drawer defender he's being hyped up to be? For 50million, you'd be expecting the reborn spirit of Baresi, not someone who's had one (could argue two, but no one really spoke about him the previous season) good season in the PL and recently had some worrying injuries. I just feel we're going to have our fingers burnt again. Sure it's not my money, why should I care (stupid argument for people to make imo) but it's a huge chunk of money out the budget which needs to be spread over other areas of the team as well - LB, CM, striker, wide player with pace.

Said numerous times if that £50m means wecant strengthen elsewhere then not impressed. But if it had no impact on other signings then who cares? If Klopp hasn't been given an actual budget then it's all good
 
IMO - VVD is the best centre back in the league. He pretty much has everything in his locker that we need. £50m is a lot for anyone in this day and age but **** it - at least we know we're getting a quality player.

Alderweireld is brilliant and another player we could have got on the cheap (as well as VVD).

I wish we could be smarter and get these players sooner but we're not that level yet so let's do overspend and get quality in now.
