agreed but in particular for the love of God please please buy a Left Back preferably a good one but just decent will do .
If we want quality we have to pay for it VVD is a top defender I hope we are in for him and don't get silly with wages and the fee, we can afford it so get it done.
When £50m was first mentioned for van Dijk I thought they were having a giraffe. Just goes to show people will get used to anything if they hear it enough. Can't get my head round it, tbh. Sure he's a good defender, but he's not the bloody Messiah, and the more stupid money we spend in one place the less we have for anywhere else.
I know Salah has been deployed on Manes side at Roma but I see a situation where he might be played like Sane at city. That would stretch any team and allow a deeper Coutinho pick you apart. Plus it's also good competition no one can slack like they did this season.
We spent nothing last season and just got handed £146M I say **** it and pay whatever he costs. We can be a bit more creative in the other transfers. Also worth remembering we'll have money from sales.
Just seems ludicrous to me, and when you show you're prepared to pay that then every bugger will be trying to screw you. This inflation will all end in tears at some point.
Yeah, don't see why couldn't just blend in the green so it is proper half and half rather than bit just missing. Its pretty muxh the same same as he 90s shirt that was green and white squares, apart from that one was a blocks of colours rather than lines
just checked headline figures* for last 3 set of accounts £0.9 £60.00 £19.80 all before tax so we are not exactly a money making machine. *to fully get a grasp on accounts you need to dig deeper but cannot be arsed tbh
we are not supposed to be. please note that that $0.9 is figures for year ending may 2014. thats just 4 years are near bankruptcy and represents LFC shifting from a sinking ship propped up by FSG injections to a self sustaining the loss last year is one off costs and of course sacking rogers and his lot. In short LFC is not a profit making machine with dividends to FSG. Its a brand leader for their organisation and they make their round the fringes of the business tacking on to the global market. The money to spend on players is imply tv money flowing about the place.
yeah. I would in general agree with the sentiment and am shocked the global recession didn't flat line more clubs. It nearly did for us. I would rather a 50mil training complex and a 70mil anfield road development than 50mil on one player but there you go.
I just think about how **** we looked without Mane this season. Then we look to sign an alternative to him who'll be disappearing at the exact same time he does for the AFCON anyway. Makes no sense to me. Regarding VVD, is he really the absolute top drawer defender he's being hyped up to be? For 50million, you'd be expecting the reborn spirit of Baresi, not someone who's had one (could argue two, but no one really spoke about him the previous season) good season in the PL and recently had some worrying injuries. I just feel we're going to have our fingers burnt again. Sure it's not my money, why should I care (stupid argument for people to make imo) but it's a huge chunk of money out the budget which needs to be spread over other areas of the team as well - LB, CM, striker, wide player with pace.
