no its just highlighting the real key positions to my mind. the x's could be all current for all i know. I just can't see mahrez wide left tracking back to milners position can you?

Conte has been playing the youth players in the cups as well as the league. Chalobah has had more appearances than TAA for example (granted his minutes were pretty low and less than TAA, he was used to close out games).

Maybe Klopp will give more time to the youth but i'm going to have to disagree with you here about this season. Apart from putting out reserve teams in the cup with a totally different team (I don't count these as chances, you might) he hasn't been integrated into the first team setup at all really

You're really splitting hairs there <laugh> And anyway Chalobah - who's now 22 btw a full 4 years older than TAA - hasn't even played a full game for you yet when TAA has.

Bottom line, your lad's only getting the same chance as ours despite being a lot older :p

its not like mane actually played wide right all that much anyway is it? went everywhere or actually played striker half the time.

I din't want to point that bit out... but you are right. he is 22 and still jsut a sub.. he wants a move does that lad.

That sounds exactly like mahrez. That guy wonders everywhere although often found wide right and because he wonders (like ozil, silva, mata etc whenever they are put out there) they are not there sometimes for their defensive duties (not an issue for mane, he's a runner alright!)

Only thing would be do you want to play inverted wingers as i hate it when you have 2 wingers who need to cut in as it makes the play super compact

Quite funny that Bobby is arguing about youth players at exactly the same time we sign Solanke as he knows he won't get any game time with Chelsea <laugh>

I've read enough to know that no one is quite sure what the argument is about...

I do know he's refused to extend his Chelsea contract as he won't get game time though!

We were discussing the lack of youth development by both our clubs and moved onto what constitutes youth development :emoticon-0148-yes:

You don't do 'youth development' btw. You just buy any kid going then lend them out and hope a few come good. It's the Chelsea way <ok>

Yup, and this was discussed at length as to what Liverpool do as well (well in the cases of Ward and Kent). Seems like the Chelsea pioneering way is being replicated across the top 6

You know that's a minor exaggeration given you've basically gotten round club ownership rules dodging and have 5 or 6 dummy clubs packed with incubating livestock.

How many loans this year Bobby, 20, 30?

Depending on which source you read you had 34-38 players on loan, season just gone - that's obscene. Youth development <laugh> - it's the 30 odd clubs who've taken them on that are developing them, not Chelsea <ok>

You know Sky's trying to pull my leg i was just giving it a bit back to him :).

Agreed Chelsea have taken it to the next level in terms of stock piling young players and loaning them out although i think Man City are trying to surpass us
