The simple fact is you are saying solanke won't get a chance and i'm pointing out theres a huge opportunity for him to slot right into u23 and be first in line for a game in league cup and then he can stake his claim.

Klopp has given the youth a chance as much as Conte has.

Conte has been playing the youth players in the cups as well as the league. Chalobah has had more appearances than TAA for example (granted his minutes were pretty low and less than TAA, he was used to close out games).

Maybe Klopp will give more time to the youth but i'm going to have to disagree with you here about this season. Apart from putting out reserve teams in the cup with a totally different team (I don't count these as chances, you might) he hasn't been integrated into the first team setup at all really

At the end of the day, we were debating Solanke moving for first team opportunities which Liverpool haven't really been doling out recently. If by youth team developement meant loaning him out to other clubs to play then he would probably do as well at Chelsea as he does at Liverpool.

he's a kid, he doesn't get a classification, he doesn't deserve one yet. call him hot prospect if you want to play football manager terminology :)

On solanke he clearly feels there's no chances coming at chelsea... he prob doesn't want to spend another 3 years playing the on loan going nowhere role several guys have done at cheslea. EG.... Tomas kalas, looked decent v us in 2013/14 now 24.. on loan for SEVEN years. 7.... got 2 champ clubs and vitesse in there as reasonably full season... or how about christensen... same age as solanke yeah? loaned out into germany for last two years... are you ever bringing him back?


the point being anyone who's 19/20 and looks and sees 4/5 guys either on loan or ahead of him... well... then hear fans saying their squad is tiny and they need sign more... they might decide its right to move on.

Its going to be up to solanke to show his worth to klopp in preseason and in u23s to get a chance but i can assure you he will get one.

first team set up...

obviously training with firsts and being on the bench is nothing to do with first team set up now.
 
Don't see the big fuss here? He's 19 and clearly thinks that Chelsea isn't best place for him given lack of chances he's had after coming back from loan.

wants to move somewhere, we were interested and prob offered him best deal along with a route into first team squad given our current squad. Prob sees his chances of first team football higher here than Chelsea which is prob true given the quality of players they have there.

Ideal world maybe he shohld have gone lower prem try get team that can give him football now but Sinclair did similar and has regressed so Never know whats best.

Let's just end this now MITO, if Solanke gets a real chance say 5 starts in the PL next year then you make me an LFC board admin, if not i will be your agent underling for the rest of my not606 life.

it was fun though :) a good way to waste valuable working time.

Is 5 games in prem necessary to call someone part of the first team set up btw? it has to be starts too...

All the big teams are **** at integrating youth though so really anyone from us, Chelsea, united, city, slight lesser extent Arsenal, are all aeguing over who is the least worse!

the pressure for top 4 is so huge, managers don't want to risk throwing kids in for sale of failure unfortunately.

Well i didn't really want to be your underling for the rest of my not606 life... there might be a chance Klopp throws the league and starts starting him if you make it further into the stages of the CL

we all know he's not getting 5 starts barring a stellar leap. We'd have to be in Qf of cl for it to occur.

thats realism.

If he forces his way past origi great but i doubt it. if he gets 10 sub appearances is that enough?

equally none of these kids go anywhere either.

Look at england squad.

kane brought through
alli bought for 5mil
rashford brought through
sterling. bought for 49mil and 0.5mil
vardy. drunken non league yob.
defoe... jumped out of west ham to get football
Ox: bought for 12 mil
Lallana league one. then bought for 25mil
Dier: started in portugal
lingard.... brought through
fat phil jones. bought for 17mil
smalling 7mil buy
chaill bought form bolotn.
walker bought from sheff utd 9mil joint dea
rose bought from leeds
clyne league 1. bought 12 mil


and so forth and so on.

Theres only a few who are still at original clubs. a lot brought in from lower league clubs or clubs who get promoted. It seems to be its a lot harder now than ever to come through at a big club but there are players who have.

finding a club who wants you and will give you chances is a big deal to these guys.

i take it you don't really expect us to sign 7 guys who slot straight into the starting 11 do you ?
if so this window really is going to upset you <laugh>
 
Think Mahrez would be a decent buy for you guys. Someone who can play on the counter.... not sure how he'd fit in work ethic wise as i'm not sure how much stamina he has but you could move Mane left and Mahrez right.
