Interestingly, reading the Watford board which has had posts for the first time on about 4 months, MS is not taking up his position until July 1st. Is that because we are taking his 6 month contract literally and making him sit it out...?

He will be contracted to us until end of June, Watford probably said "don't officially start until July, we won't have to pay city anything then."

He will spend the time watching DVD of their games and scouting, and making recommendations

There's a new series starting on Channel Four in a couple of weeks which might interest you.

Called ' Me and my Gilet' it explores modern metrosexual man's relationship with the sleeveless jacket. From dress down structured tailoring via experimenting with texture to the pragmatism of regulating your temperature, it promises to include something for everyone.

Yer Man is booked to appear in Episodes 2, 4, 7 and 23.

Enjoy!
My wife has a waterproof gilet... WTF is that about?!
To get any use out of its properties she'd also have to carry two small umbrellas to keep her arms dry!!!

Marco Silva's comments on his appointment..

"Firstly I really like the approach of the board and the owner," he said. "They showed me the project and I like the ambition. The club want to improve for the next seasons and this is what I try to fight for in my career as well – to always improve, to do a good job and to ensure a good connection between the manager and the club.

"The ambition this club has is really important to me. I'm excited. It's a good challenge and I'm really happy."

Speak for yourself
My life is so good that's literally the only thing I have got to worry about

...or summat

I was going to go with 'fairly 'armless' but I didn't want to flag up my only Gilet joke too obviously.

Cos I've got no follow up to speak of.

The two tiny umbrella solution I like but I wonder...

Given that you have an umbrella in each hand, do you cover right arm with left hand umbrella and left arm with right hand umbrella in an arms crossed stylee or right arm with right hand umbrella and left arm with left hand umbrella in a more arms straight out in front of you arrangement?

Or maybe just stay inside when it rains?

Problems, problems, problems.

Or summat.

Too smart for me Ernie

Anyway on balance I think crossed arms...or a jacket, with sleeves!

No we don't want Huth and Morgan next season and we won't. We will be signing two centre halves and I "think/hope" they will be one of Gibson/Maguire and Acerbi/Mbodji (Sassuolo/Anderlecht) who we bid several times for and they both want to come so I reckon it'll be one of them. Acerbi is a ball player and Mbodji is a beast but pacey.

I just did a check of Gibson and Maguires stats and HM wins convincingly overall.

That's because he's the better player. Some of our fans need to have a look at some stats.

Can we please stop changing history and cease with this idea that 'Rafa did the honourable thing'. He did not commit himself to The Jawdies when they got relegated, on the contrary he touted himself for every ****ing job going straight after the end of the season. It was only when none were forthcoming that he agreed to stay.
Did it go to the advisors or straight to the chairmen?

The stats say Gibson is better at passing and gets dribbled past less but other than that Maguire wins in everything that really counts. Can't find out which recorded the fastest speed though.

I listened to Watford's CEO or someone being interviewed on radio 5. Spoke very well. Thought then, Silva would be a good fit. Not surprised and I would expect them to be up there next season. He might of course have to ditch that zonal marking bollox or get some defenders who know what they are doing.

I really wouldn't be surprised if he went for Rannochia, fits in with them looking to Serie A.
