***** Brother In Law has now officially lost his job over the issue.
I suspect he's not going to get another one offered before the trial so it means they are now without income. They are going to give him his annual bonus though, so could have been worse.
The more I hear about their finances though, the more I'm convinced even if the sister in law gets a low paying menial job, she'll still be better off than 90% of families. Huge house almost already paid for, lots of investments paying dividends, etc. Can't live the life of luxury quite like she is used to though. She will have to live like a normal person now on... Albeit in a house twice the size of a normal person.

That would make sense. I think she's planning on keeping it for a bit to try and maintain continuity for the kids to try and make the transition easier.
