The Montana is nice and we keep a few bottles of that in. I am a mainly french white wine man, with sancerre being a favourite, although it has tended to become a bit poorer recently I think. A good Chablis still takes the beating for me though.

I managed to drink a bottle and a half of white horse with out any effect, something told me to stop drinking completely, so I did.A few years ago (not that many) on Boxing Day we went to Mrs. A's sister's as is traditional (we took turns with who hosted) and I drank about 7/8ths of a bottle of Glenfiddich (I've got no idea why I didn't drink it all, but I was probably a bit tipsy), went home (she was driving) giggling and fighting in the back seat with my boy then continued when we got home.
Mrs. A. took a 5 minute video at home, where I was doing likewise on the floor and it was brilliant with him taking the micky out of me. The next day it was as if I'd never had a drink . . . . no headache or poorlyness whatsoever. Oh, I'd been to the match beforehand and had 4 pintstoo.
I wouldn't be capable now, but I was amazed![]()

Very strange that, I lived with a lad from Newcastle and he told me one morning I was pissing in the wardrobe and he asked me what I was doing and I said pissing on a cottage pie. Couldn’t remember any of it. Strange, because that was brown ale as wellI like Brown ale but have p*ssed in the wardrobes many times after a good session on that.
I like Double as its brewed locally.
I like to try craft ales but a baddun is a real baddun.
Had a nice little 32% ale in The House of the Trembling Madness (original one) in York once. £5 for a third of a pint. Anyway getting slapped around the face off the landlord to get me off the floor at 2:30 in the afternoon was a tad embarrassing as I just slithered off my stool.
Not a lager drinker at all and only drink the odd rum snatch ( dark rum just a single measure, a dash of lime cordial and a little bottle of ginger ale/beer)

Sounds boringI've been teetotal for 19 years, so no further comment to make![]()
Ozzy, have you heard of a winery over there in SA called Mr Riggs Wine Company?I live in the heart of a South Australian wine district and Yellowtail and Wolff Blass (along with McGuigan) would be some of the cheapest over rated wines that are produced in Aus.
If you want a good red then look for any of the Wirra Wirra range (5 minutes down the road and you can't go wrong)
For whites i prefer a nice NZ sav blanc, Oyster Bay or Montana would be the tipple of choice.
For quaffing wine the Aldi branded 4 litre crisp dry white at $9 (about 5 quid) can't be beaten.
As far as spirits go i prefer bourbon to scotch. Makers Mark or Blantons for me. That being said a nice shiraz gin is not to sneezed at.
****, when i read that back i guess i'm a piss head![]()

I like the 19 crimes wines. They’re all good from my experience. Unfortunately I can’t give blood otherwise I wouldThis is what we were drinking last night, with fillet steak and accompaniments, which is good preparation for when I donate blood this afternoon . . . . my iron levels will be enhanced (probably)

Try Whisky mate, it's much nicerBloody good thread this. Hats off to the OP.
Beer - Currently sat with an Old Speckled Hen, my favourite.
Wine - New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc
Spirits - London Dry Gin
Always wanted to like Whiskey, but I don’t. Gives me the ****s. You’re welcome.

I think Whiskey refers to Irish, and Whisky the Scotch.Clearly my spelling is even worse than my taste in booze!
I would refuse any lager 'cos that's a tart's drink, and it's (all) horrible anyway (I presume) . . . . I remember when it arrived in the U.K. women used to drink lager & lime when men drank McEwan's Scotch or Lorimers
The only 'non malt' whisky that I'd drink is Famous Grouse, so I'd refuse all of the rest![]()
