    no it hasn't.
    yes to the corruption but its economic woes have not only been magnified by the EU , which allowed it to join the Euro though everyone knew it didn't meet the qualifying conditions, but now hold it ,at the insistence of Germany,in a position of supine hopelessness of requiring constant cash injections solely to pay the next instalment of it's debts. the sooner the Germans let the ECB agree to a Greek "haircut" on its outstanding debts the better not just for Greece but everyone.
    The impression is the Germans won't agree as so many of the bad debts are owned by their banks who lent recklessly.

    We could have a whole other discussion about whether or not the boundary commission is independent but I would rather hear about how the proposed changes make it "almost impossible to have anything but a Tory Government"

    Greece are now like the unemployed mother of three who with Christmas coming up thought it would be a good idea to get a wonga loan and a PS4 from brighthouse.

    I would hope so!! Think back to the 80s when Darling Margaret put the final nail in the UK's manufacturing base meaning the UK is heavily reliant on imports. She should have invested in renewable energy supplies amongst other things; when she set the police force to quell the miners. Hard Conservatism has never heard of negotiation, just confrontation and bullying. This is going to happen if Madame May is elected PM.

    The issue with Greece is politics doing long term harm to make a point to others.

    We all know very few should ever have gone into a euro project but Italy had to be put in for show. Thus Greece and others were tagged in.

    The real issue is Italy is unsustainable debt so to avoid them defaulting the germans are playing the beat up Greece game.

    If Greece only paid 10cents on the euro then 6 months later nobody would even remember the miniscule impact of it.

    The issue is Italy wanting the same.

    So Greece suffers.

    As a previous poster said earlier, Liverpool folk do not follow the common herd (the rest of England.) Liverpool (and Brighton) folk like to think differently. Certainly, in the 80s there was a rebelliousness in the way Liverpool people thought, spoke and acted. Read Nicholas Allt's book about the "Scallies."

    Haven't read his books but seen a couple of his shows. Either way I do know that many liverpool fans behave as you suggest and feel free enough to go against the local culture and support the tories.

    Not at all! Maybe ban extreme right-wing parties, like Britain First which do foist hatred in people's hearts.

    How do you define what is extreme and hatred. It could well be argued that labour encourages hatred of the very rich and tax avoiders.

    I wasn't being serious obviously. I don't recommend banning anyone/any movement. With luck society can be relied upon to weed out the extremists.

    As I sit here in Castle Hill hospital in Hull awaiting my final ( hopefully) op for my prostate cancer, I have to stress what my experience of the last 18 months of tests and whatnot at the hand of the NHS. So far, I black, 2 Muslim consultants, 1 Polish, 1 West Indian and 1 Asian nurse. Every patient has been a white, middle-aged or elderly male (obviously, that last bit
    )
    Whatever is said of Cornyn is he dead right on this aspect of health and immigration - you are infinitely more likely to be treated by an immigrant than share a ward with one.
